So beautiful. DUUUUUDE!!! That has cool in spades. Awesome. And I am going to bet the ride is smooth as silk. The vibration reduction of wood is real sweet. I am going to get the bacon on my bars next week or so, to start prepping it for riding. I have been run focused for the past few months so working on the bike will be a nice change. I'll get a few photos uploaded after my Fuji SL*T is ready to go. I've only seen TX Jonathan's sweet Scott and Yanti's Red Robber. Oh yeah, I saw Ann-Marie cruising out of transition 1 last year at Rev3 Venice too. I believe it was a Cervelo, but I blinked and she flew past me! What will everyone be riding this year? That is a totally sweet bike. Love the wood concept. If you go back a few pages, you'll see my bike. Next thing you know people will be demanding a Manatee Bike Gallery! |

Hi Dub6! Poor Red Robber really took a drubbing (notice I don't care about the drubbing I took! however => I have continuing numbness, pain and swelling in my RIGHT arm and the veins are really blue and popping out, so there might be some compression happening between the collarbone and a rib. Something's still wrong with the wrist, too. Unfortunately the cracked rib is on the LEFT side so I really hope it's just continuing soreness from the race working itself out on the other side! I look AWESOME! I am staying with a super super super BTer here in Auckland now and I have a feeling she and my sister are going to haul me to an urgent care clinic tomorrow. The pain in the rib is none too good either so there may also be more soft tissue damage than it seems. Hate to say it but definitely for the best I didn't get into IM Melbourne for Mar 24. ****IF***** I do Taupo next year, I will be doing it on the Tin Canny (Cannondale WSF Synapse) with shorty aerobars. I absolutely can't afford to not be able to shift (not to mention having aerobars dangerously close to the front wheel ... ) or not being able to control the bike well in aero. We'll see which IM I do next and what the conditions are likely to be. Damn Girl.. I don't like doing to the doctors for sh*t my body will fix anyways...but I think even I would have gone by now. I saw that you said you will go, so I won't tell you to.... but please update us as to what the doc says... and good luck on your piglet hunt! (You are always hunting piglets right?) |

I realize I have several pretty glaring character flaws, one of which is I just do NOT seek medical attention unless it's forced upon me or there's impending death/permanent damage. Stace was right, though ... nerve compression is nothing to fork with and something is definitely not draining right on that side anyway. Or keeps getting reinjured or whatever the hell it's doing. |

Yep - I got it... still blushing. Thanks - I really am flattered when women use words like "slurp" after seeing a picture of me. Sometimes I still see the "fat" Chad when I look in the mirror. Especially if I've been eating bad for a week or 2. That's why I take lot's of pics of myself, and recommend anyone trying to lose weight to do the same. I'm always amazed at how different the picture in my head and the real picture are. I wonder why that is? Why I look in the mirror and see one Chad, then look at a picture and see another? Interesting. |

Honestly it's the same thing with other people--incredibly beautiful fit people get ugly real fast if they behave poorly. |
