Good job guys (and gals)!

Don't worry about picking up my miles, any extra miles don't count. Shawn has already taken care of my situation.

Back from a weekend of too much drinking, not enough cycling! Sorry to hear about the injury...that sucks! I had to waste a challenge day getting an open water swim in. Hadn't done one and first tri is 3 weeks away. Some people thought I may panic, but no worries. I'm slow as hell, but I got it done no problem.

Friday--5 mile run
Sat.--college football rest day GEAUX TIGERS
Sun--approx. 1/2 mile OWS, followed with another 1/2 goofing around swimming and 1 hour kayaking
Mon.--2.5 mile run

Plan on hitting the bike hard this week!

hi everybody.

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. Mine was outstanding. Got everybody's numbers from their logs, except runningwoof. Cant access your log. And mdunn, I converted your 25 km to 15.53. Let me know if your original goal was in miles or km. Anyway, check this and make sure your numbers are right! GOOD JOB BOLL WEEVILS! Remember this is only for Friday and Saturday.

Monica

Hey there

Yes, my original goals are in miles - I converted them before I made them knowing quite well that's the way most of you measure! If you would prefer I can record them in miles too

Mike,

So sorry to hear about your injury. RICE. We will all be thinking about you, and hoping you can get back on your feet soon. That really looks like it hurts. I think we should all dedicate this week to McFuzz, and go hard for our wounded teammate!

GO BOLL WEEVILS!

I did 35K, not 25 that would be 21.8 miles! Sorry, just wanted to let you know...not sure if you misread, or if my log reads 25 instead of 35...for me it says 35K.
Anyway,

GO BOLL WEEVILS :D

The only correction I have is that my bike goal was supposed to be changed from 140 to 200.  Not sure if I got it in for the final spreadsheet before, but that's the goal.  Thanks!!

Question to all - it was raining today so instead of my planned ride I did a 60 min spin class at the gym.  Can I count this towards my mileage, or would that be cheating???

Thats a personal call. I would think it could go either way... but I dont think anyone would consider it cheating. Anybody else? Whats the consensus?

i don't see why not. I count stationary bike at the gym when it's raining. Guess we ought to ask some of the other teams, to be democratic about the whole thing. GEAUX WEEVILS!

Seems valid to me. The point of the bike challenge is to get the cycling workouts in, yes? Spinning is definetly a cycling workout.

Hi everybody! Just checking in. How is your week going? Meeting your weekly mini goals? What do you have planned for the upcoming weekend, training and otherwise? Oh, and lets get some first names... I am Monica. Its nice to meet you

I am doing good on my running goals- 2 runs so far, 5 and 6 miles, for a total of 11. Got a long way to go to get to 60, but I am confident I will get there. Weekends, weekends, weekends...

Biking - logged 15.75, short of the 25 I wanted for the week, but its not over yet. 100 seems like a long way away.

So training for this weekend is as follows...

Friday - off
Saturday - beach run (shooting for 4 miles, may do more if I feel it) and OWS in Barataria Bay.
Sunday - Run or Bike - undecided on distance and open to suggestions!!!

Fun Stuff - Leaving friday to go to Grand Isle, gonna BBQ friday night, and probably drink to much! After the workout Sat morning, we will spend the rest of the day fishing and watch the TIGERS beat up on Arizona. Go home on sunday to workout, rest and watch the SAINTS beat up on the Browns. We should be able to win that one...

So what are you guys going to be up to?

Great job, Monica!! Looks like the team is doing well. As for me, I've biked 40/200 miles and run/walked 4.8/40. Here's my plan through the weekend -

Today - bike 16 miles (possibly run/walk 2, but that's a big maybe)

Friday - weight training

Saturday - ride 30, swim 2000 yards

Sunday - ride 16, run/walk 3 miles

Nothing big going on for me this weekend - just relaxing and hanging out with my fiance who's been out of town all week.  Oh - and watching some UGA football!  Go, dawgs!

Keep up the good work, team!

My weekly goals are going well...I have done two runs so far 9.6 and 5.1, and will do at least 5.1 today at lunch...hoping for 6 tho...for a min run totat of 19.8 for the week.

I havn't gotten a new bike yet, so nothing biking planned yet.

And I have not put a swim in all week...been lazy.

This weekend, I am picking up the car I am buying from my father (my first convertable). and I am working backstage for a production of Romeo and Juliet, friday night.

Forgot to put in that Sunday I am going to try to run 12 miles...

My names Rob by the way.

Hey team.  Sorry I haven't checked in.  I work on a ship and got called out on Sunday for an emergency.  But I'm back now and will get to work on making up time.  Hope all of your training went well

I'm Megan, by the way, and my weekend looks exactly like Monica's. Swimming today, and maybe strength training. Off tomorrow, Friday night at Grand Isle can get a little crazy, and if I don't get my Friday night steak, the whole weekend will be ruined! Beach run Sat., 4 miles sounds great. Bike ride on Sunday--shooting for 10 miles.

Good job Weevils!

I'm Karen, if I hadn't mentioned it yet.   It's great to be training/challenging with all of you!  I finally got out on the bike again today, for 10.7 miles, so that's 25% of the bike mileage (I wasn't very ambitious!).

My plan for the weekend:

Friday-probably a day off

Saturday-4-5 mile run if my legs cooperate

Sunday-3ish mile run with a friend

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm trying to make up for my slow start...

Go Boll Weevils!

HI guys, I am getting your data now. If you guys ever wonder where I am on the weekends, I only have access to the internet at work and so I never post my workouts or on the thread over the weekends. Dont worry I havent abandoned you Make sure your logs are up to date, and I hope you guys had a great and productive weekend!
