If this works, I am attaching a spreadsheet for our team. I will update it each week and post it to the captains thread. I originally told all of you to PM me with your totals through 12-10 but the spreadsheet is accounting for this week 12/1-12/3, so pm me your totals for this week. The spreadsheet shows where you should be throughout the month vs. where you are at. It is a lot easier if you stay on track!!!

Updated Spreadsheet. I will post to the Captains Only thread as well. I plan on just posting the spreadsheet here and allowing each of you to download it to see where each of us are at. If you can not read an excel or are having problems, let me know. Also keep an eye out on the Captains Only thread b/c that is probably where the results from everyone will be posted, hence you can see where we stack up against other teams. Looking at this week's results does not really bother me b/c I think most of you were not planning on counting 12/1-12/3, however I would like to see everyone be on schedule by the time I post next week. At this point, I think I am the only one on pace.........let's get in the pool and make our goals. Good Luck!!!

Graduation and end of the year school work is upon me right now so I will get in the pool more this week.  Planned swim tomorrow and Thursday of around 1200ish meters.  So I'll be well into week 2 for my distance.

hope things are going well for everyone else.

I'm going for a time goal - 12 hours - still learning technique so want to make sure I can continue to work on that during this challenge.

I will get another 1100 yards in today which will put me right on schedule.

I had to post this because I have a lot of temptation to skip swimming today.   Please ridicule me if I don't swim today.

Okay folks, if you look at the Captains thread we are in last place. Not a big deal for the 12/1-12/3 dates but we need to be on schedule when I post this week. Also, we have added another teammate, Ryan. His link is below. A couple of things that help me with swimming is having a planned workout before you get there unless you are doing masters. This way you look at the list/workout and just start checking the things off in your head. To me it makes the workout a lot better and more smooth. If you need a workout then steal some ones from their blogs and modify it. That's what I do half the time. If anyone else has any good ideas then post them here. I will keep the whip in the closet for one more week!!! Happy Swimming. I will attach another spreadsheet adding everyone.

That is one sweet spreadsheet! thanks!

Now, let's get swimming everybody.

I second the having a written plan. Even including effort (ez/med/fast) and rest time makes it go faster. If I just go to swim, I'll never swim near as much as I do with a plan.

Have fun!!

NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

The Curmudgeons are not BOP'ers!   We will win this thing!!

December is not an easy month to train, so do everything you can to keep your committment.

Agree the tpeterson and BeCivil.   Have a plan when you get to the pool.   Feel free to use my workouts as a guide.  They have been tortuously prepared for my by my training buddy.   Never a dull moment in my workouts!

Keep on SCHWIMMING fellow Curmudgeons!  We MUST win this thing!!!   Not to mention the fact we'll all be in a bit better shape if we meet our goals and challenges!

GOOD LUCK -- and HAPPY SWIMMING!

I got in 3150 again this morning, with 2 more swims planned this week. I'm at 24% now, but need to get well ahead since the gym will be closed from 12/22 onwards.

Swim, swim swim!!

I put in a good 1300 meters today.  That puts me at 19.3% of total.   Hopefully this makes up for yesterday's embarassing failure

I only got in 1800 this morning, I picked December to try flip turns again. Cursed flip turns!!!
I will pick up an extra day somewhere to make up for it.
