mr2tony - 2007-10-10 5:02 PM So race `bandits' are common??? I guess that makes sense.

We have race bandits on BT.

Hilarious that he was sporting the bib of an elite runner. Maybe Opus can give your friend pointers on outting him via a blog.

pinktrigal - 2007-10-11 9:27 AMRace bandits tick me off. There is a lot of hard work and expense that goes into directing a race, and if you don't want to pay a fee to race, don't think that it is ok to steal your entry. It cheats the race and the other participants. As punishment, I think all bandits who are caught should have to clean the port-a-johns after the race

I will gladly clean the port a potties if you pay for my race entry fee...

I mean, not to judge a book by the cover, and maybe the pic is misleading, but look at the guy.  He ain't no "top 100" racer

Yeah, good thing you weren't judging the book by the cover.

Well, everyone knows that if you start a sentence with "Not to" do something, you are actually getting ready to do just that

But I have a sneaking suspicion that my judgment is correct

I would concur. So does anybody actually try to stop these people?
