OK team -- how do I count bonus points.  Did a Double brick this morning (I'll call it the Brettathlon) doing a swim, a bike, and a run back to back.

Swim 1750, bike 18 m, run 5k.

I even took first place overall!    (haha

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

The new spreadsheet has a column for you to enter the number of bricks you do.  I am completely deferring to this amazing sheet and assuming it's all correct.

Couldn't get practice laps in today for next Sunday's mtn. bike race due to a trail workday, so I participated.  Rode only 6 miles, but clipped "face slappers" off the trail for over an hour.  Talk about running with scissors - how about mtn biking with pruning shears!?!?!?  (I was going slow).  It felt good to "give back."

Wow.  Humidity=back.  I almost ran out of water on my ride today, and I even had taken an extra bottle.  Big thanks to the church car wash that filled me up.

How we making it this weekend?

I'M SO ANNOYED!!!!!!!!!!

I was supposed to do my first brick today outside.

45mile (3hr) ride with a 20 min run.

AND MOTHER NATURE IS PUMMELING US WITH CRAP.

All.Day.Long.

So now...I have to slug it out on the trainer and the treadmill. I'm so annoyed.

Especially since Galena is next weekend.

ARGH.

Shoot me now. Please? Just put me out of my misery. I cannot handle much more of this trainer bull crap!

I feel your pain, girl. I totally feel your pain. My biking date was called off because my partner said a cow just flew by her window.

Whew!  I am going to sleep like a rock tonight

I got in a swim and a run - I'm pooped

I guess one thing that's good about staying in PA by myself is there is lots of time for working out

Sounds like that nasty stuff you folks in Chicago are having is coming my way tomorrow

Windy and gray today.  Like, 35 mph winds!  Branches down here and there in the neighborhood.  Did indoor trainer time.  Wanted to brick it with a run, but too windy and cold.  I'll swim tomorrow morning and get today's run in after work tomorrow.

Decent weekend everyone?  Hope all the mom's had a good Mother's Day!  We layed out of church today and got Italian carryout for lunch so spouse didn't have to cook.

Hope the weather didn't effect anyone too terribly.  This seems like the first storms that missed us here this year.  I was getting accustomed to the tornado sirens.

I'm werking right now.  Ugh.  Well not really.  I don't have to be, but I am because I'm that bored, and because the laundry isn't done.  Everybody ready to start there Mondays off with some good training?

I had to boycott the brick today. Will make it up with a 90 minute ride/20 minute run tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in our group.

In other news...we did a small test area of the Nair for Men tonight. It worked BRILLIANTLY for Mike. He's got sensitive skin, so we'll be watching it for the next day or two for any type of breakout or rash. I'll let you know what transpires on that front. But there was no burning or weird feeling for him and the hair came off really easily.

He says he feels naked now.

How cute!

And I checked last night, and it looked like the spreadsheet wasn't totally up to date.  For example, I noticed Amy had nothing entered, but she's done a good bit of training.  We may even be at 38%.  I was going to update it all, but with the bonus for brick workouts, it's hard for me know exactly what someone has done.  Either way, we are doing GREAT.  Lets work hard to catch up to the days and WIN THIS THING!

sesh -   I was going to update it all, but with the bonus for brick workouts, it's hard for me know exactly what someone has done.

Please, please, please make sure you are only only putting into the spreadsheet the amount of training you have done and the number of bricks -- the spreadsheet works out the bonus so you don't have to!

[I've now just re-read Sesh's post and figured that he probably meant, hard to tell the difference between a brick and two workouts on a day not together, so that's fine. But the warning is worth posting anyway!]

That's what I meant  If I'm entering their time or distances and they did a brick, they are getting short changed because there's no way to tell and there will be a big goose egg in the brick column.

It is a super cool spreadsheet btw!  And I'm a man who loves his spreadsheets.

Morning schwimmy completed this morning and could only now update the spreadsheet.

I hate spiders!!!  Put your thumb and forefinger together in an "o.k." sign and that's how big it was, floating about a foot off of the bottom in the pool this morning.  And the darn thing was brown.  I'm sure it was dead, but I'd pass over him doing my laps, pass him again, pass him again and it kept floating higher.  I thought, "If that sucker isn't dead and he latches onto me...!!"  Two laps to go and I finally stopped in my lane and stood up, trying to move the stupid thing.  I finished my laps and told the lifeguard.  I'm not afraid of them, I just hate them - in the house or riding through a web on a mtn bike or hiking in the woods.

Okay, I'm through ranting this fine Monday.
