NO ADVIL - Especially no Advil with alcohol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good morning TAN. explain.... NSAIDS are extremely dangerous to the internal organs that they are processed through, especially when taken regularly. This effect is multiplied times 10 if you combine them within 12 hours of drinking alcohol. basically, it turns it to poison. So, Ibuprofen type medications will injure the kidneys and Acetomine ph Tylenol types will injure the liver (that is the organ that processes it and runs it through the body. When I was a ballplayer, I took 4 doses of 800 mg of Ibuprofen (prescribed to me) each day for 2 years. The doc's tell me that it is not why I developed kidney disease, but it is why I developed it at such a young age, and why they thought that it would kill me before I got an organ. If you look at 200 mg of Advil x 10 - that is 2000 mg (in essence) at one shot. Athletes that take ibuprofen after every workout - or even worse, for pre-workout, risk kidney failure at an acute level during their workouts (ther are several stories - legitamixed - of athletes who had a sore knee taking Ibuprofen and going out an running a 10K - collapsing and ending up with kidney failure.
