Morning Nibbs.

Should have know the guys would dig the beach volleyball outfits. I agree, the guys should also have to wear skimpy outfits, then maybe the ladies would enjoy watching. Same with the runners, etc. Pretty soon it will be the Naked Olympics. LOL

Maybe the less coverage, the less clothing sand can get in?  Although I guess there is a point of diminishing returns, but I won't complain about that

I'm still partial to the swim chicks.

that's cuz you love the smell of chlorine

so did you do anything fun this weekend?

Hmm... saw the new Batman movie, got the tuxes for the wedding settled, food tasting at the reception place, went to eat at the rehearsal dinner restaurant, first session of counseling with the minister, engagement party for her brother, home by 9 o'clock Sunday night.  Whew... then I actually ran last night.  Zzzzzzzzzzz.....

Great race, Beth.  Algae isn't quite as hot as cholorine  But you smoked that swim and had a GREAT PR!

Sounds like a good weekend! how did you like the movie?

thanks - I felt really strong in the swim - I'm glad I didn't know about the algae residue until later - oh and you'll have to read about my after race adventure in my blog - LOL!

My wife tells me that women don't enjoy the same looks as guys do so I don't know if the speedo suits for volleyball would attract more women or not, but I know the guys would buy out the Nake Olympics for beach v-ball and all that stuff.  Just don't let the weighlifters ever do it please!

there is kind of a fine line..........My daughter and her friends think guys in speedos are gross no matter how hot the are

I must humbly disagree. If they have those fine lower abs and a nice lil treasure trail... Oh, but I digress. The Olympics should be about SPORT not hot bods in skimpy clothing. These people are ATHLETES, not pieces of meat.

Safe travels, Beth.

Just got the official distance of the swim yesterday - it was quite a bit shorter than the course the last 2 years - not sure why.............

anyway, so, my swim was still good and a PR for me at 1:42/100, and I was still 2nd in my AG in the swim - I figure that's pretty good all things considered Cool

Seems more realistic this way

Maybe they shortened it because of the algae situation. Less time for exposure. Anyhoo, still smokin' fast. And that was quite the adventure on the way home. What a weekend!

Get thyself a Tylenol PM and a bed before it does get too bad!

Nibbs gives you the day off.  It's just as good as a doctor's note.

I'm going to stay a little while.  At least long enough to do all the calculations for my experiment tomorrow.  Means I have to do less tomorrow morning and it's easier to get started.

Thanks for the excuse though.  I wonder what my boss would say if I printed that and handed it to him.

yeah, that's kind of what I thought too - it was sort of like swimming in split pea soup - LOL

I had to wash my tri suit 3 times to get the stink out - yuck!

I thought it was pretty good too - I seriously fell asleep during all the prior ones - only reason I went to this one was because it was a family outing

the adventure was funny - when it was over

when I realized I was trying to use the wrong gas card I burst out laughing!

That is why I did it so I could pass some time also!  Pretty bad when you go away for 2 weeks and there is not a lot of work left to do to play catch up!

Guess I should not complain huh?

I'm on day 3 of absolutely dead boring days at work. Of course everyone is on vacation prior to school starting and in 2 weeks with school back in session it will go crazy again here. I can't believe it is almost August.
