I bet I would feel that the rest of the day. It's amazing how people are different. I don't eat much the morning of an IM, lately I've been stuffing down 2-3 Ensures and maybe a Clif Bar. Maybe I should switch it up a bit this time. I'm not going to like getting out of bed so early. :-( |

The bike includes a lot of trainer time. As for race morning breakfast, I don't eat a whole lot. A half a bagel with almond butter, some sports drink, a gel before the swim. If I ate 1500 calories I'd be puking halfway through the swim. And I have no idea what a Southwestern roll is, but I suspect it would have the same effect on me. Anybody plan on running w/a "discrete" MP3 player? It sure seems like it's going to be REALLY quiet on the run course, everyone is going to be spread out. It gets quiet enough on a M-Dot run and that's 2-3 times more people. Can anyone who has seen this race on the run, comment? |

I don't run with one, I don't bike with one and have no use for one on the course. Well, in all honestly I have no use for one other than on the rollers for rides over about an hour. |

Expert ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Not racing this year BUT from last year---no ipod/mp3 for me but definitely saw a few on the run course---some trying to be tuck them under hats/visors others with them out in the open...then there was the girl with the mom/friend (not sure who she was) "pacing" her on a bike with a radio strapped to it.......... Yeah it does get pretty quiet out there---especially through the park near the water---the "end" part of the out/back is into/through a park and it gets quiet and dark there before sunset even---lots of trees/shade... |

![]() | ![]() DanielG - 2010-11-01 11:17 AM October's totals: Bike: 29h 15m - 502.78 Mi Run: 15h 02m 30s - 94.91 Mi Swim: 8h 02m 05s - 27050 Yd here are my totals for october. i am new to this website, but after seeing you guys post your numbers earlier today i decided to tally mine. i was curious to see what my numbers looked like compared to you guys. i have no idea if i am ready or not. that is my biggest concern - geting race ready, but not worn down in the process. swim 31600 yards - 13:53 hours bike 714.3 miles - 34:33 hours - mostly on a trainer to simulate aero position run - 129 miles - 17:01 hours - all roadwork - i hate treadmills. oh - and i am in agreement with everyone else - no IPOD for me. can't stand them. ??1?2? ?days and counting.... |

Why do you need to be on a trainer to be in aero position? good question - i have a lot of hilly areas to ride in my area and i wanted to simulate the flat race course and the aero position. i am not in aero when i am climbing. |

I did B2B last year with a 808 up front and wheel cover/PT wheel on the back without any problems!!! I've also used that combo on some race days with much stronger winds then at B2B without a problem....I wouldn't even give it a thought. |

Thought I'd share: September Bike: 840m (325 of which were commuting to/from work) Run: 119.5m October Bike: 529m (160 commuting) Run: 67.5m Due to logistics, I swim intermittently. OK, now I'm hopping on board w/everyone else: Let' get it on! |
