disturbed275 - 2011-03-11 4:42 PM I ended up having my first decent run in awhile.  I think my shins are happier when it's warm out.  I know I am.

Yea on good runs and on warm.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Like everyone, I've been watching the news with horror. I have several friends living in Tokyo. They are fine, but life is hard over there right now. So very sad.

Yeah! No crappy commute today. I even got my taxes off to the accountant. When I got home and grabbed the mail, guess what I found? Yep, an amended 1099. Grrrrr. Another trip to the PO tomorrow. And my W2 from my old employer is wrong. Still waiting on the replacement. I'm thinking there will have to be an extension this year.

Hi Neal! we'll forgive you for not being around this week if you serve us a margarita or two!

The ellipticalization was alright. I got to watch a dad and his kid challenge two other little kids to a soccer game. I got to ref from inside. They didn't like some of my calls!

Shower then dinner and shopping for groceries!

Enjoy your evening in the big city!

My sister lived in Misawa for 3 years. They had  been down to Sendai many times. She still has friends living in Japan, they were sending her pictures yesterday, a few of which she forwarded on. I only visited there once, and to see some pictures from places I've been was devastating, I can't imagine what the people of Japan are going through right now.

Good morning Ghoulies!

Good night last night. We went to Friendly's for dinner. Then my husband, daughter, and I all had sundaes, my son doesn't care for ice cream. My daughter had cookies N cream ice cream with kit kats, brownie bits, whipped cream, and sprinkles.

Today is my first day in a 10 lbs weight loss challenge I have with my husband and a few other people. So I had bacon for breakfast. When I get out of here I'm going home to walk the 4.2 mile hilly loop I used to walk and run. Then I may do some easy spinning on the bike this evening in the basement while my son plays video games.

If anyone is around this morning, stop in and keep me company. I'm hoping I only have to be here for a few hours.

I'm hoping for you that you get your work done in a few hours and can go and enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Mine will all be work, but then I knew that unlike you with your short notice.

Yesterday I got in a good walk, knees acted up but not as bad.  Today they did not hurt when I initially got up this morning, so I'm taking that as a good sign,  Then did complain as I started moving around a lot though, but still, it is much much better than earlier this week.

Also got in a strength workout and a short swim.  I hate swimming after doing strength, because then my arms feel like lead.  But a short slow swim is better than no swim at all.

Today is rest day.

Tomorrow I need to get in a 45 minute walk/run after work.

Now I better go and focus on work.

luckily this pool I could walk across.  No real deep end, so as long as my legs don't cramp I'm good.

Good morning Ghoulies.  First day of daylight savings.  I'm looking forward to daylight when I get out of work tonight.  Hoping to take the bicycle out for a spin.  I have a bike ride coming up on May 7th and I haven't gotten the bicycle out of hibernation yet.  Need to get busy.

Knees are slowing doing better.  I'm happy to be seeing improvement.  I'll be missing the run class tomorrow because we have a library board meeting.  More like a bored meeting.  Yawn city, but heaven forbid they catch you yawning.

Last night heard an author speak.  Lisa Gardner.  She writes suspense.  I'm reading Live to Tell by her right now, and last night we bought her newest book, More to Love.  Great speaker and great writer.

Good Morning!

Yesterday we took the dogs for a good walk to an area where they can be loose and run around.  They sure do enjoy it!  I may take them back today but by myself since DH will be busy.

Have a good day everyone!

Glad the knees are calming down.  Do you use a cream on them after a workout like Biofreeze or Arnica?  Helps mine to not get swollen and achy.

I also love the time change.  I want the daylight after work more than before!

I do use biofreeze.  Usually I ice on and off right after working out.  Then the chiropractor has suggested hydrogen pyroxide baths.  I've done two of those and it seems to be helping.  Then I use the biofreeze as needed.

Have a great time with the puppies today.  They must love it when they get to go outside and run around.
