This sort of thing is why I had to stop working for large companies.  Microsoft actually has their *own freaking employee conference* a couple times a year at the Seattle Convention Center called TechReady.  None of them look like they want to be here.

This was a thank you event our customer "threw" for us - yeah in the middle o' June when it's going to be 98 degrees today. At least it was in the morning. And the media behaved.

We rented a gas-powered t-shirt gun. That was cool.

Gas-powered t-shirt gun you say??? Now I'm jealous!

Already been a fun monday here.  110 degrees for the high today.  Started the morning off right with a fire on the roof at work.  I actually got to play fireman for a bit 5 stories up.  I really miss having a job that utilizes adrenaline.

Lisa, good thing it didnt get out of hand or that little 737 line of yours wouldn't have had much core to use.

I am torn though I don't know if I would rather row in the water or on the erg tonight.

The erg would be shorter and "easier" but less fun.

On the water!!! There is more to see, then again it depends on the location of the erg.

Nice work on putting the fire out!  Sure it didn't start from the sun's heat?

Silver insulation cover and concentrated sun rays do not go well together when mixed with a little hot oil!

Sounds fun. While we were setting up for the event, ambulances were dispatched on our campus THREE TIMES. Come on, people! Stay alive!

I did NOT enjoy it this year, first time ever. My race wheels (carbon tri spokes) were all over the place and I truly felt unsafe for most of the bike ride. White knuckles and all. Ugh.

I actually did not mind the swim (despite my time) and had a blast on the run. That wind on the bike though, that will kill your spirit fast.
