I was having hammy problems during my long run today. I rarely have injuries so I'm not sure what to make of it. Felt it more going up hill. Not unbearable but uncomfortable. Still hurts some when I walk. Iced it for a few minutes. Guess I'll see how it feels in a couple days. Just swim tomorrow. 15k in three weeks and an OLY in four. I am the queen of nagging injuries! Be careful with the hammy, it can be both a lingering and recurring injury. Many people think they should stretch their hamstring to rehabilitate the hammy, really you want to stretch your quads and ice the hamstring. ( when the hamstring is healed, stretching is fine ) |
