Finally back home from a vacation i thought would never end. Must admit that i am glad to be back and looking forward to resuming training after three weeks of 'lazy'.

Will try to catch up with the RR's i have missed. Well done to all of you who have been competing.

I was racing a 5k today to get an idea where I was at as I launch into fall training. Unfortunately I have been sick all week and wasn't feeling so hot for the race. I was waaay off from a PR and generally felt flat. So really all I got was a reading on how I race when I'm sick. Haha. It's alright though, I'm doing a 10K in a few weeks and can get a better idea then. I will write a report later but I managed 2nd AG and 7th overall. Now, to the couch with soup to watch football and track Tracy!

Glad you can relax and rest.

Tracy is holding a great pace.

I was having hammy problems during my long run today. I rarely have injuries so I'm not sure what to make of it. Felt it more going up hill. Not unbearable but uncomfortable. Still hurts some when I walk. Iced it for a few minutes. Guess I'll see how it feels in a couple days. Just swim tomorrow. 15k in three weeks and an OLY in four.

I am the queen of nagging injuries! Be careful with the hammy, it can be both a lingering and recurring injury. Many people think they should stretch their hamstring to rehabilitate the hammy, really you want to stretch your quads and ice the hamstring. ( when the hamstring is healed, stretching is fine)

Sorry you are/were not feeling well. It's pretty sad that your bad run is better than my good run!

Or when your 14.5km AFTER your not-feeling-well 5k is still better than I will ever run! :D  Goooooo Seahawks!

I have found that it tends to lag a ways behind for the finish time especially...I have been watching the finish and haven't seen her.
