Good morning Ghoulies! Glad that you were able to do the insurance bit online. Hope they come and fix it quickly and to your satisfaction. I could have gone to bed at 7:30 last night, I was that tired. An insurance adjustor called and left a voicemail, I need to call her back today. I was looking on the Nationwide website last night and found several authorized body shops that aren't too far away. I'm going to use one of their places, it seems like it will make life easier. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Afternoon Ghoulies. I had PT first thing this am. It was a good session, but it work my azz out. I have been lolling around ever since. I need to do 3 more sessions today, but the poor doggie stepped on my toe and it hurts pretty badly now. I did go out last night to the meeting at the Inn. It was nice to get out but damnation, those people in that group are idiots. My patience for idiots is not good on a great day, it was not easy last night. I may talk the hubbie into taking me out again tonight. Just to be like a real adult. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good morning Ghoulies! The radio station I listen to at work went all Christmas music at 6:00 this morning. It is too early. If they wanted to start throwing in a Christmas song here and there fine, but for the next month + it will be nothing but the same Christmas songs over and over and over and over and over again. I'll be sick of them by the time Christmas gets here. GRRRR So what are the weekend plans? I'm going to DC Sunday afternoon, checking into a hotel where my sister will join me, then we are going to see P!nk on Sunday night!!! Her husband is driving her in, then I'll take her home on Monday. We are going to stop and do the grocery shopping for Thanksgiving on the way home. We are going to her house for lunch on Thanksgiving. Donnie is leaving today to go bear hunting with the guys, too. He will be back Monday night. He won't shoot a bear, he only carries a gun for his protection in the woods. He just likes to hang out with the guys. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Good morning Ann! Good morning Ghoulies! I love Christmas music, however I feel that we should not start playing it until the day after Thanksgiving. That gives us a good 5 weeks or so of it which is more than enough to keep it special. I think it has been outrageous this year the way Christmas decorations went up in the stores even before Halloween. And I don't mean selling decorations, but actually decorating the stores for Christmas. Are they going to come down before Xmas and in mid December we are going to have Valentines Day decorations all over the place. I used to work retail, and we made a big deal about getting the store ready for the decorations to go up just in time for the day after Thanksgiving sales. So, usually the Wednesday before Thanksgiving the display team was madly decorating the store. |

There was no requesting off, and if you didn't show you could be fired. She said she normally goes to Delaware to be with her family but won't be able to this year, she'll be home alone. MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Weekend Plans. Tonight we have a few people coming over to play Settlers of Catan. It is a game night, but specifically for Catan, so only a few people will be there. That is okay and exactly what we wanted. Tomorrow (Saturday) we are driving to Greenville, SC, for the TSO concert. We are going to the afternoon show so that we can then come home and not spend the night in a hotel or be on the road real late. I love the TSO concert to set off the holiday season. Sunday - All I have set is walking in the park with some of my old co-workers in the morning. After that the day is open but this is what I believe is going to happen. The house will get cleaned and packing done because Tuesday I pick Frank up at work and we go to the airport to fly to Texas for the Thanksgiving holiday. Going to see the DD and family. Woot! We are going to celebrate Christmas with them on Saturday morning since we won't be together for Christmas. I have mailed, had shipped a bunch of presents to their house, so once I'm there I'm going to have to wrap them, LOL. Of course I'll take the fabric bags that I've been using the past couple of years and hopefully that will take care of most of the wrapping. If not, I'll have to buy some paper or the gift will come in it's packing box, LOL. I'm glad that we are doing this because half the fun is watching the kids open their gifts and then playing with them. |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Ann: Sounds like a fun weekend. We are expecting to hear all the details bout Pink. Did you find something to wear? We have had bear hunters all around here for the last couple of weeks. It breaks my heart. The bears have NO chance. They use the dogs with radio collars. The guys all hang around the pickups and ATVs until all the signals come from one area. They jump on the ATVs and blast the bear away. I have no problem with hunting, if it is done with skill and knowledge of the animal you are stalking. I also "know" the bears around here personally.. they attack our trashcans. They are smart, they only come here on Sunday night. Through experimentation, they must have found that the cans are the fullest on Saturday. (combo of most cabins are filled on the weekend, and most people leave Sunday so there aren't as many people around AND the cans are emptied about 4=5 am on Monday Morning). I lolled around all day yesterday. My foot is getting better: I can put a teeny bit of weight on it, but I can't do a whole lot with the crutches. AND I am fearful of over doing it. The pain last weekend was pretty damn bad. I don't want to go back there. I am icing it regularly after my PT sessions and random times in between. I see the Doc today so I'll find out what I can, and can't do.

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Robin is feeling bored. But then I get up to go somewhere and I remember why I am not doing anything I agree with the Christmas too early crap and working on Holidays. It is funny, I have never shopped on a holiday or Black Friday. I never intend to. I have limited most of the retail frustration by limiting shopping at any major chain if I can help it. I also cut out music stations except for our local 88.7 public station that plays all sorts of music. Christmas music will be played on that station rarely throughout the day and then only after Thanksgiving. I got a bee in my bonnet a few years ago and vowed to buy only local and/or free trade goods for presents. It has changed Christmas shopping back to fun. I adore going Christmas shopping in Downtown Asheville, Saluda, Black Mountain, Tryon, Hedersonville. Each store has it's own bags or wraps the gift in brown paper or some individual touch. Music is playing, Often the stores have cider or coffee or such while you are shopping. It is like it should be. Hopefully my foot is good enough to get around a bit. This weekend there is a local "artisan show" at a wine bar in Rutherfordton. I'll get to sip wine (if I am off the dam pain pills) and shope for presents from local artists. The town of Black mountain next weekend has luminaries all over town and the shops stay open until 9 pm. Carroling is involved. I LOVE going there for that, even though I don't end up buying much. Anyway, we are lucky here to be able to do things like that. |

It felt later because it got dark so soon. (Greenville is about an hour from here). We could have had FUN! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Originally posted by ceilidh Hope Pink and TSO were great shows. Now for the details, please? Robin, my concert was fantastic. They created a new show this year based on the Lost Christmas Eve album/disc. Frank kept thinking it was the "LAST" Christmas tour. No, Honey, there will be more. They also did music from the NightCastle Cd. I think that is the one that we don't have right now. We have all the others. Great show as always! |

We didn't have as much fun as the group of drunk ladies in front of us, but we were ok with that. My sister and I spent the night in DC then. Yesterday morning I took her home. On the way we stopped and got Thanksgiving supplies. I got home in time to take a nap, but I never got one. The pups missed me so I had to play with them. I was beat last night, I went to bed mega early, but then I was up at 2:30 this morning. I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't so I started my work day at 3:30. I'll be done by 11:30 and then I can NAP!

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies- World Dominion Tour. Last week Caleb had tryouts for the school basketball team. He only started playing last year, and some of the kids have been playing since 3rd and 4th grade. He made the team! He can still play rec ball, that he played last year, and his coach encouraged him to do so, to get more experience. I signed him up for it. There will be lots of running... again, but the kids enjoy playing and I enjoy watching. If they weren't playing sports they'd be at home doing nothing. Letting them play is a no-brainer. |
