As always, I NEED* to be in. What's the plan?

*(Note: Author's need to "be in" does not necessarily commit the author to "being in" anything due to potential unforseen commitments.)

LOL! Nice disclaimer there Harry.

I'm IN!

Since the race is FLAT, and we did hills last time, maybe a flat-ter ride to figure out a pace?

As always please feel free to beat down the crazy person, but here's my proposal. We can change it any which way you please or throw it out alltogether. I think Chris and this route have a score to settle

Looks great to me...and you're right, this course and I have unfinished business.

I think the side road you found did a great job staying away from the bad traffic you all went through that one time.

Hi All,

I'm coming down to the Valley this weekend for some in-law time.  I'd love to do the Sunday ride with you.  I checked out the map, could you give me any more specifics on exactly where the meet-up point is?  I can find my way around the Phoenix area pretty well, but was just wondering if the start is at someone's house or a parking lot, etc, so that I'll know it when I find it.

Also I assume everyone is OK with aero bars?  My brother in law's roadie group won't let me on their group rides anymore now that I've switched to pursuit bars and bar-end shifters.  (I'll try not to run anyone off the road)

-Dave

Hi Dave!

No problem. The meet up point is at the Sunny Side Up restaurant next to the Basha's supermarket on the southwest corner of Crismon and Baseline. It's a big supermarket lot. To get there just take the 60 East out to the far east end of Mesa, and get off at the Crismon exit. Turn right on Crismon, and after the light at Baseline turn right into the lot. There are 2 strips of stores and restaurants then the Bashas. Sunny side is in the row closer to the Bashas. We'll be the row of people with bike racks.

And aerobars are no problem we're all tri-folk here
I may not have mine since I haven't fixed my left bar, but most of the people there will have aerobars and/or tri/tt bikes.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Jot, if you want to join us from your place along the way and ride to the finish, then one of us could give you a ride home. That would drop 20 or so miles from the total.

This sounds great! I know it's only 20 miles in, but if people want to fill up on water you can stop at the house. If not, I'll wait out on Riggs and join up.

Cool, we probably won't need a stop at that point, but it's a good option. (Do you have Rock Band?

I figure we'll stop at the Shell station out on the rez at about the 45mile mark. You can wait for us on Riggs at around 11:30. What corner will you be at?

And in case anyone didn't notice Paulette's comment, the meeting time at Sunny Side is 10AM.

I'd just wait at McQueen and Riggs. NW corner, probably by the Pizza Factory.

There are places pretty regularly for the first 25miles, then nothing until that Shell, then nothing again until 48th and Baseline, then we're back into civilization along guadalupe. The longest stretch is probably an hour to an hour and a half.
