Way to go John, great job.  Didn't get y our bib number until to late to follow you, but saw the final result!

Amy. I go to bed early, but stayed up late watching you on the tracker.  I tried to time your crossing the finish line so I could get up and watch but missed it, sorry.  Very proud of you!

Makes me ready for Branson and ready to sign up for my final Ironman next year.

Oh yea, are you ever going to do an Ironman Gary, just asking?

Thanks for all the wishes, congrats, and everything else.  I am sorry for being MIA this year.  I just got wrapped up in everything else that was going on.

I just need to send a BIG BIG BIG thank you to everyone on this thread that inspired me to do an Ironman.  Thank you so much everyone.  Your advice and everything else was put to good use.  It was truely a humbling experience.  I thought of all of you during the marathon (my death march) and told myself that the first thing I would do would be to say that you guys were with me and thank you all.  You guys rock.  You don't realize how much people are involved with your training until you are heading towards that first Ironman finish.  Even if it's just a line of encouragment.  I thought about all the advice Mav gave me on swimming, how inspiring Lena's story has been, watching Gary's training schedule to get ideas on what I needed to do, Billy's sense of humor and constant one lines that kept us laughing, knowing I wasn't alone on the course because I knew Amy was out there somewhere and of course, LRR, our mother hen.  There were more but this truely is a special group. 

Thank you again!  I wish I could say more.  It was an experience I will never forget. 

Until my kids are in college I am just going to have to be the lazy one in this group who only does HIM's.

Sorry I have not been on here in about 3 weeks or so. I have been so busy with my new school and training. I realize after I was in Louisville that I never posted on here my number or arranged to meet those of you that were there. I didnt have internet access there. I also forgot my garmin at home so my brain wasn't working the last few weeks.

I did finish. it was a long day but I think I finished in 12:02ish. Not sure havent checked the results yet. I will probably do a race report this weekend before I start forgeting some details.

I want to thank all of you for your support. It really helped throught the race.

Phil - Congratulations, Your splits look fantastic.  Lots like you passed alot of peeps on the run. WOW!

How long have you been doing Triathlons?
