Subject: RE: kaburns1214 Mentor Group 2011 Part 2 - CLOSEDSo much going on in this thread today. Michelle - wow, that must have been a difficult time for you and your family. I'm glad you are ok now. Kelly - you don't have a Corgi? I assumed by all the photos that you did. To all those that live in areas that get snow - I am very envious. I've have lived in Southern California, Northern California and North Georgia. No snow in So Cal. In No Cal we got snow one day when I was in 4th grade. My brothers and I all pulled out our snow skis and went skiing. Atlanta gets snow about once a year, but not much. Except this past January we had so much snow my work was closed for 3 days! Unheard of, but we're not prepared for heavy snow so the roads iced up and were not drivable. I went out running every day, through the neighborhood and even to the grocery store. It started getting dangerous with the ice, but initially I had crunchy puffy snow to run in. I'm sure if I lived in it I'd feel differently. I'm just over this heat and humidity! |
