Yeah, if i do this one (I'm a baby when it comes to the olympic lifts due to a knee issue) I am going to scale the weight down.  That sounds like a tough WOD when you start getting up in the minutes.

Lesson of the day, don't do pull-ups with a Marine. I was faster than him on the push-ups and equal on sit-ups and squats. But he smoked me on the pull-ups like a cheap cigar.

Barbara
5 rounds:
20 pull-ups
30 push-ups
40 sit-ups
50 squats

23:50.

I threw up immediately afterwards, then took a shower and threw up again. I'm under the weather and that doesn't help much. But at least my post-nasal drip is out of my stomach!

Today, Death by Grace

7 Sets/Minutes, 135lb Clean and Jerk.

Finished my 7th minute with 2 seconds(!) to spare. Which meant, no eighth set haha.

No lifting today; ran 10 miles instead. Longest I've ever run in my life.

I may try the timed C&Js tomorrow. I want to beat Leegoocrap's score.

Bear...nice run...and I love the challenge laid out there before you...by the scores put up there recently...I'm thinking Leego is a machine!

Today, 3x5min intervals with 3min rest...

.71mi/.69mi/.65mi (slight uphill)...I was spent, so no penalty performed today...will make up for it later today

I bet you'd be too tired for that backflip...  At least I can beat you at something (not the backflip)!

Rc you got me there, I'm a wuss at running anything more than 400m, not that I'm amazing at that either. Also a poor swimmer and only a so-so bike rider... damn triathlons was an odd choice looking back

Thanks for the good words. The funny thing about that 10-miler was that I planned on only doing 5. But I run this loop around my house that's 1.65 miles, and after I did 3 loops (for the 5 miles) I kept telling myself to go just one more loop. It was slow - took two hours - but I'm hoping that once my weight goes down I'll get faster.

Well Leegoo, you get to be king of the C&J for now. Decided to just do KB snatches with the 32 kg 10/10, 9/9, 8/8, 7/7, 6/6, 5/5, 4/4, 3/3, 2/2, 1/1. Thought somehow that this would be "easier." Tore a callous in the process.

wow i've missed two days in a row for crossfit I feel like such a wuss.

On a positive, I placed 3rd in my age group in a 10k race today.... with a not so astounding 50:22 time. However, that is a 5 minute PR for me.

Probably gonna make up todays +fit tuesday if my swim lessons don't drown me.

Congrats lego.  A little hardware for your mantle!

Very smart to get lessons, form is so important.  Pay particular attention to the "catch and pull" portion...

Dude, I hope I'm right and you did your math wrong. But a 37:54 for an 8K is a 7:37 pace!

It was an 8k race, through the campus of the UofA, my actual run distance via my nike+ was 4.63mi vs. the full 5mi...

I've been down and out for a couple of days. I was coming down with something when I did Barbara last Thursday. I went downhill after that and was toast starting Friday. But, I'm doing much better now. I hope to be back crossfitting by Wednesday.

Good news though. I bought a standard 1" bar (16 lbs) and two adjustable dumbbells (about 3.5 lbs each) plus a couple little weights. We start crossfit kids at my house this weekend!

BTW, I am happy to celebrate my 800th post with my BT XF friends.

Steve

I decided to "sticky" this thread to the top since many of us post our workouts here. I'm not as big a CF fan as some of you but, as you all have seen, I will do the workouts once in a while. I like the idea of seeing and comparing myself (competing?) with everyone else.

Crossfit today. First, Did weighted pull-ups, 7x1 max weight

(All sets on top of my bodyweight, 173lbs)

set1: 45lbs

set2: 80lbs

set3: 100lbs

set4: 105lbs (pr)

set5: 107.5lbs - miss

set6: 107.5lbs - miss

set7: 100lbs

If it wasn't a miss then my chin cleared the top bar.

Afterwards, felt pretty good so made up Barbara from saturday.

Round 1 - 3:01

Round 2 - 2:59

Round 3 - 3:12

Round 4 - 3:42

Round 5 - 4:08

Total -  16:22

First 3 sets of everything unbroken, 4th & 5th set had to break up pull ups and squats. What a killer, I feel dizzy still.
