Sounds pretty good.  I think you should add brats though.  The best ones are made at the Usinger's factory in downtown Milwaukee.

Oh, and one time we cooked elk, bear, deer, dove, and froglegs.  Also had rabbit and squirrel stew.

I have friends that like to hunt.

Is there anyway I can get them here?  For some reason I have this thing for German food and beer, so I definitely LOVE boiling a good brat in beer and then crisping it up.  Top it with some kraut or onions...Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Hmmm...I have eaten deer, buffalo, bear, and elk.  Not any of the other things.  Not sure how I feel about squirrel or dove.

Dove is great.  Basically all you can get is the breast, and those are pretty small.  Wrap in bacon and grill.

Squirrel... eh.  But in stew, it's just a meat.

Deer is one of my favorite meats.  Which is good I guess since I think they outnumber the people in Mississippi.

Yep!  You can order them from the website: http://www.usinger.com/

My favorite ones are the fresh bratwurst (they hold up to the beer and grilling the best) and the cajun ones.  Pretty much everything is delicious.  They make it there.

I think it's probably the same in Wisconsin.  My husband's grandmother always offers venison, venison sausage, and sometimes bear when we go home for Christmas.  Lots of our families hunt, so Christmas is when they usually share it with the family.  Good times.

I almost gave up pork sausage the first time I had deer sausage.  A place in Starkville would pack it like a breakfast sausage.  Mmmm... deer sausage biscuits probably accounted for half my weight gain in college.

I've never had it like that.  It's probably good.  We always have it as summer sausage type.

Made with flour and buttermilk (the best way) or plain milk and eggs.  You put anything from meat, butter, jam/jelly, syrup, etc... on it.  Sausage and a fried egg is my favorite way.

Pretty much, but lighter and fluffier than any scone I've had.

Ok so you take that and shove a sausage in it... but like sausage meat made into a pattie rather than a real sausage?
