I wish my strength test had gone a tad better, but I'm not disappointed. I just need to work harder for the spring test!

Morning team! Plans for the day....I'm off to coach basketball till noon....supposed to be doing a beer run but work got in the way then home to clean. It is sunny so hope to get a run in this afternoon ...maybe I'll make it my own beer run, but it won't be the same all the donkey's will be a the real run.

I'm not sure what day Dee is going to calculate totals.  My guess is tomorrow based on previous challenges, so try to get your workouts in there today!

I've noticed the weekends tend to be a bit quieter around here. I guess it's harder to be chatty when you're trying to be lazy at home than when you're trying to be lazy at work...

Hello Gabby gobblers. I'm spending the last day of vacation sitting by the pool and listening to live music. I'm on my crackberry so someone else will have to update the spreadsheet for me. I got 5 run/wralks in this week along with two strength workouts.Tomorrow we drive the 10 hours back home. Not looking forward to the ride but it will be nice to get back home and then take the time to catch up on all that has been happening on BT this week.

Please have the spreadsheet updated with your progress by tomorrow morning. I'll give everyone the Current Team Standings tomorrow.

Note: If you are ill/injured during the month, you have several options:

1) You may withdraw from the challenge. If this is the case, please let me know. (Or, you can tell your team captain, and they can let me know.)

2) You may revise your goal as follows:

30 days - "your missed days" = "days of participation"
Original goal x "days of participation" / 30 = Revised goal

For example: If you planned on doing 100 miles, but missed 5 days due to illness, you would recalculate your goal like this:
30 days - "5 missed days" = "25 days of participation"
100 miles x "25 days of participation" / 30 = 83 miles revised goal

3) In some cases, such as injuries, you may need to recover and can't resume your previous workout volume. If that's the case, tell your team captain (or me), and revise your goal as you see fit.

If you have questions, feel free to ask me (or your team captain).

I'm training for the Carlsbad Half Marathon on Jan 24. It'll be my first HM. My longest recorded run ever at this point is 6.5, so I'm a bit nervous but really excited at the same time.

Thanks, Tom. Well, I have already had to modify my goal, due to the hubby's surgery and whatnot. So, I have decided to condense it all and make it super simple... 10 sessions of a minimum of 15 minutes of anything...swim, bike, run, p90x (if I ever get my DVD's), yoga, core, etc. I'm just really feeling the need to simplify. simplify, simplify.
