Emmanem - 2010-12-28 8:28 PM I bought new goggles today for $1.97.  They were discounted from $13 or $15 I can't remember which but I'm glad i finally got some new goggles and if i don't like them they didn't cost me much.

Good find. That reminds me. I need to get me some new goggles too.

For someone who rarely swims, I seem to own a helluva lotta goggles. 6-7 pairs? Couple in the car, a bag here, at my house, at my sister's, a dog eats a pair, get another ... there were some awesome $2 goggs here a while back too, they still work great except the nosepieces break fast and I have to use a twistie tie to keep 'em together.

You know, I like this though.  If I had goggles stashed everywhere, I couldn't use lost goggles as one more excuse not to swim.

You make me laugh yet again Yanti.  I'm just picturing this female Harry Potter broken glasses in the pool thing with the twistie tie. Not that you look like Harry Potter.

D001 - 2010-12-29 12:47 PM OK, check out the spreadsheet: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=tpa5iZ6XoKc4GxdRCYPtniA&... It's a little cumbersome. So if the challenge works and you want to do this again in the future, we can talk about switching the columns and rows around. But for January, let's see how it goes with this format..... Spreadsheet info: 1) Enter your name in the 1st column. 2) Do not change anything in yellow or orange highlighted cells! (The formulas will calculate your points.) 3) Minutes of Swim, Bike or Run --> Enter total minutes for Week 1. You get 2 pts for every 20 min of activity. 4) Minutes of OTHER activity --> Enter total minutes for Week 1. You get 1 pt for every 20 min of activity. 5) # of servings Fruits &Veggies --> Enter total servings for Week 1. You get 1 pt for every 7 servings. 6) # Days drinking at least 64 oz water --> Enter total DAYS for Week 1. You get 1 pt for every day. 7) # Days with NO sugar, junk food or soda --> Enter total DAYS for Week 1. You get 1 pt for every day. 8) Repeat all of the above for weeks 2, 3 and 4.

Looks awesome!  Thanks for setting it up!

Emmanem - 2010-12-29 10:09 AM Mom just called.  My great-grandma died yesterday.  All of our family still lives in Sweden so it's hard when something like this happens since we can't be there.  She did live to be 100 and from what they told mom it seemed like it was just her time.  Kinda a hard morning for me tough....

Sorry Emma

This looks awesome and totally what I need next month!  Are we going to have to log our food or will the fruits&veggies, water and sugar free days be "on your honor"?

Well... since our logs are also on our honour I don't think we need to log the food/drink. I might though, just because putting my dirty laundry out there for you all to see might help motivate me to make better choices or smaller portions... We will see!

I need Crusher well wishes!

Yesterday it started with a tiny scratch in my throat... as my shift progressed I got into cold/flu territory. I went and bought oil of oregano to try and salvage my health and it tastes like poison... or really concentrated oregano in liquid form. I drank liters of water and stayed away from sweets (increases throat irritation and progresses cultural growth)... Do I not deserve to be well?

The problem is I have a 5km run tonight (race) and I'm moving tomorrow. Let's put our super powers together to heal me!

Sounds good.  I might log my fruits and veggies, my water and snack stuff just to help me keep track.  I know SEEING all the crap will me me more likely to be good.  I just usually fall apart in the logging food when I have to start logging complicated things like a burrito, made with scraps of leftovers in the fridge.  My mind freaks out trying to figure out how to enter it, and I give up.  I think I can handle the straight foreard stuff!
