Last night heard an author speak.  Lisa Gardner.  She writes suspense.  I'm reading Live to Tell by her right now, and last night we bought her newest book, More to Love.  Great speaker and great writer.

I will have to check out her books!  Always looking for more books!

Howdy all. GREAT day swimming. I really learned some stuff. As horrifying as it was to watch my underwater video, I could see improvement. That and the reduction of 5 stokes per lap. Totally worth the days of time away to do this course. I had dinner with some good friends tonight to cap it off. Tomorrow  I am gonna sleep in, go elipticize  for a bit,  (since I can't run or spin) and then I get to go to a stop at a greenhouse on the way home and stock up on rareish plants for cheap. (Drug talk for a garden addict).

I'll catch up with you all later tomorrow or Tuesday.

I LOVE what I call "real time' being back! Love love love!!!

Good morning Ghoulies.  First day of daylight savings.  I'm looking forward to daylight when I get out of work tonight.  Hoping to take the bicycle out for a spin.  I have a bike ride coming up on May 7th and I haven't gotten the bicycle out of hibernation yet.  Need to get busy.

Knees are slowing doing better.  I'm happy to be seeing improvement.  I'll be missing the run class tomorrow because we have a library board meeting.  More like a bored meeting.  Yawn city, but heaven forbid they catch you yawning.

Last night heard an author speak.  Lisa Gardner.  She writes suspense.  I'm reading Live to Tell by her right now, and last night we bought her newest book, More to Love.  Great speaker and great writer.

Glad the knees are calming down.  Do you use a cream on them after a workout like Biofreeze or Arnica?  Helps mine to not get swollen and achy.

I also love the time change.  I want the daylight after work more than before!

I do use biofreeze.  Usually I ice on and off right after working out.  Then the chiropractor has suggested hydrogen pyroxide baths.  I've done two of those and it seems to be helping.  Then I use the biofreeze as needed.

Have a great time with the puppies today.  They must love it when they get to go outside and run around.

1) What is the peroxide supposed to do?

2) Do you just put your legs in the bath, or your whole self?

3) Is it a 100& peroxide solution, or do you dilute it at all?

I've never heard of this so I'm just curious.

the Hydrogen peroxide is supposed to help open the pores and draw out the toxins and let in the oxygen thus speeding along the healing process.  similar to taking a epson salt bath.

Chiropractor gave me comercial grade which is at home and I'm not sure the solution, but most reports on the web mention a 3% solution.  I mixed 1 cup to a full bath.  Then sat my whole self in the tub, but made sure to not get it near my hair.  So basically from the waist down.

Good morning, Dee!

I worked 3 hours on Saturday, that was it. The website I needed to use was running way faster, probably because it wasn't bogged down by users. It is also easier to get work done when your phone isn't ringing, you aren't getting emails all day, and people aren't stopping by all the time.

Yeah!  Glad it went so smoothly!  Ya would think that companies would figure out that such interruptions can interfere with productivity huh?

I believe it was last year I came in and worked from midnight to 8ish 3 nights because what I needed to do couldn't be done during normal business hours. I got more done in those 3 nights than I ever get done in a week because there were no interruptions.

I wish my schedule here was more flexible so I could do that more often.

I'm sitting in my office with a lost dog.  Yup, you read right.  A lost dog.  She came barking at our loading dock door and is just so friendly.  Luckily she has a name tag and phone number, but unluckily no one is home.  We have left a message and meanwhile, my office is now the doggies home away from home.  Please let there be no accidents.  I might have to take the dog outside with me for security duty.

AFTERNOON GHOULIES.

i think i forgot to mention that my formal job offer came in the mail on Friday.

woo hoo!

there was some language missing out of the letter uhm...the fact that it was a FULL TIME FLEX POSITION - so i called the office to check and make sure the offer is in fact the one we discussed.my soon to be director apologize and said the position is a full time flex position and that they would send a new letter w the proper wording.

ok well geez that's weird, but i did confirm that 18 hours will be where i start as i am orienting and training and then we work up to 25 BILLABLE hours + all the other non-billable stuff i will be doing/getting paid for.

the big thing is, i will get benefits - just medical to start, but that will be my biggest need once the divorce is final which should be in about 4-6 weeks.

all my bases should be covered by then.  so were good to go.

woo.
