Picking up the girl at grandma's. Napping. Since Caleb is away we are letting Keri have a sleepover tonight. We were going to go to the lake in the morning and go kayaking, but it is to be cool, and rainy, so we may just stay home. I would like to put my fire pit back together sometime this weekend. Getting the fall garden planted (at least started), going to a play, a cookout at a friends, freezing a boat load of corn, canning maters, getting the sauerkraut started, a long run, a good swim and a bike. I am thinking there is no way to get it all done. Let us not forget napping, too! |

They usually have some sort of seasoning on, they did not, so I could pass them up. The boy ate a bacon cheeseburger, too, made me feel better since he was eating. He actually came home from practice last night in a good mood. They didn't do as much conditioning. They started working on different plays and what positions the kids are going to play. Can't say guys, there are 2 girls on the team. Looks like Caleb is going to be a Guard, and a Defensive End. He's cool with that. The boy leaves today to go on a big fishing trip. I'm a little anxious about it. This is his first big trip without a parent. He's going with my dad, and my brother will be there, but neither of them are known for being overly responsible. I think he'll be fine though. Right? He will be more than fine. Think of how responsible he has been with the kayaking and helping others. He is a great kid (teen, whatever). x2. He has shown a lot of common sense and responsibility. I am sure that will carry through on the trip. You are doing an amazing job with your kids, Ann. I admire that very much. |

He is in second place, another guy on the boat caught one 34/5". The guy who organizes the trip gives out trophies for different things. The water was getting really choppy so they headed in. They're having lunch now. He told me he's having a lot of fun. He's bringing the fish home, I have a friend whose dad does taxidermy, he's going to get it mounted. |

We have been down all day do far. makes for a hectic day ~ how do you check people out? the old manual sign the card in the back of the book? hope IT has fixed it by now!!!luckily it was just the network that was down. We could bring up computers and run the catalog from it, so we were able to check people in in and out. Happy it is up now, for having the internet means happy customers. haha ~ can you take my computer away...then I could stop this stupid input of code and go run instead! haha and I saw yesterday here on the news that the library has more sleepers then book readers/internet users...do you see that where you are? I can imagine it is a great place to go get cooled down and not get pressure to move along if you are homeless....just wondering if this is a California thing or Nation wide?!?! |

Sounds like a fun trip! I have friends that live about 45 minutes outside of Frankfurt, Germany. They are always asking us to come visit! |

Robin--hi! LOL. Guess I'm not really very talkative lately. I did run once this week, though. And did a bunch of yardwork tonight. Our valley is super smokey. Do you guys remember the picture I posted a year or so ago of the view of the mountains on my run? Well, you can't even see across the valley now. The sun has been red every morning when it rises. It's the strangest feeling. And I don't really like to go out and run in it, either. Hopefully the winds will shift or the fires across the northwest US will be out soon. that sux about the air in your area...seems fires are taking over everywhere due to the lack of rains....hoping that you get that beautiful view back soon! be careful and make sure that you do inside exercises and avoid the smoky air!! bet you are getting some amazing sunsets with great colors from it! that is the only thing good about the bad air! haha way to get in one run...I need to be training and will go run today for you and me if you like!!! and let me know when I need to come do my famous rain dance for you!!!?~ |
