It is pretty pathetic that we had Happy Halloween, Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas all on the same PAGE!

C'mon people, time to rally!  I know some of you are training for spring races!  I know I *should* be.  I got on my bike this past weekend for the first time after Iron Star, poor Dori.  Boy was I rusty and it was cold and windy.  Glad we shortened it from the planned 45 to 28!

Oh and the pie, cookies, soda, and other goodies we've been comsuming over the last week or month.  Time to wean and get back on water, fruits and veggies.

Don't leave me hanging!

ETA:  Wahoo I started a whole new page..... we turned a page people!!!!

Racing?  Who's racing?  I decided to take advantage of the nice Tucson weather (excluding this very crappy week of course) and am planning on an early season HIM.  Waiting to see if we actually remain in Tucson though (although that is looking more likely) before signing up

It's a new one.  Marquee Triathlon (Triathlon), 4/10/2011 in Tempe , Arizona.  Ok, so technically not an HIM, but rather long course, cause well, I don't care about the IM name, just the race itself.  But, this company does all kinds of races in Tempe, including Soma, so I am not worried about it being a first year race.

Sounds fun!  I still havent decided on races.  Since i found out Anderson SC was added to the Rev3 series I've been toying with the idea of doing the HIM.  It's 20 minutes from where i live now so i could easily ride or run the course whenever i want and get in some OWS in the lake by October.  The big factors are still the length of the race and where I'll be in October.  Clemson's up there as one of the top choices for Grad school but until I know for sure i don't think I'll sign up for anything in the fall.

I'm up for a 2011 mentor group.  I joined one earlier this week since there was a few other college students in there and I thought it'd be great to be able to keep each other motivated and help out with the whole school/training balance but if everyone here wants to keep going I'd love to be in for another year.  You all have helped me out so much this past year and I've learned so much from everyone!

I am healthy finally. We do need to keep this group going. I will be making it a goal to get in her more often and post some good stuff. I may even do some Tri related training. Anyway I spent alot of time getting all registered for races on the 30th. I am cheap like that. Most races had discounts for entering early so I did. What you see in my logs are my races. Will be focusing on Sprints and olys this year. Of course I will be at IMTX with the boombox and BT going to help out my peeps.

Hey gang, happy new year!

I think I have whatever crud kept Todd out for about a month myself, so I'm working on it.

In terms of a new mentor group- if we start one for "us" I'm in, but I'm not planning on getting involved in any other groups.

I'm a slacker and don't need MORE people knowing that.

Let me know if we start up a new one thru an inspire, k?  (see, told ya, slacker)

I told my wife that was my #1 New Years resolution.

Anyways we can still "Mentor" on here. The forum is open for us to keep it all going in this group. Even if KK is two timing it on us we are still good with that.

Dont do that.    But I've given up on my doctor.  I think I'm going to see a witchdoctor and do a raindance or something if I'm not feelnig better by the weekend.

Does anyone know where I could find a goat to sacrifice?

Feel better Nicole!!

On a side note: some of our family friends used to have 2 goats.  They lived in a subdivision and kept them in the backyard... not sure that was really allowed actually I'm pretty certain it wasn't.  They also had a dog and every time he went into the backyard the goats would charge at him and head butt him.  Sometimes they even knocked him over so our friends had to give the goats away.

Ok folks, mentor me.  I have a 4 hour bike ride on the schedule this weekend however, I am on call.  That means I have to be within 30 minutes of my house.  How do I do that without going insane?  I could go to the national park, it is a 30 minute loop, but darn it, to do that for 4 hours might drive me crazy.  We can only go in one direction.  I'd say 3 times is my limit.  Plus it is a very hard ride.

Oh, I just got an email from Orbitz about preparing for my trip to Sydney (which is really to New Zealand).  I have a 12 hour layover in Australia so I plan on leaving the airport and going exploring.

I'm all for keeping this group going. I haven't been in too often but I'm starting to get a bit excited about my training.

Kim, Can you ride on a trainer? If it were me I would just do some loops and call it a mental strength day.

I'm pretty sure those cannot be shipped to Tucson and almost postive that the local stores don't have them.  I believe there is an anti-trainer law here in Tucson (and if any place would be willing to pass silly laws like that Arizona is the one).

The Anti-Trainer law in AZ is because there is no such thing as too cold to ride there. There for no trianer needed.
