Subject: RE: Evondo's Group - CLOSED! You know I would have laughed if you came back and saind you fell over during spin class. Tough deal on the sickness both before and during the cruise. Just think though its early in the season and now you have the sickness and face stuffing out of the way and can get focused on trainiing. I find once I get 3-4 sessions in I am back in the groove and all is well. golfpro - 2011-02-23 1:29 PM Hello everyone.. just an update on my has been where abouts. Three weeks ago I came down with some kind of upper respiratory infection/ flu type symptoms that sideline me from training. The only thing I was able to do and I only did it because I felt I had to do something was swimming. I could not run or elevate my hr is such a way to feel that I was coughing up a lung. I took a break from the b&r and I tried to let myself get acclamated with non-physical activities, specially knowing that I was going on a cruise. I went to the Bahamas for a week and it was great to get away from the cold weather and finally be able to suck up some of the nice warm carribean rays. It was great! aside from having too much FOOD! yeap! way to much and I am sure I gained more than a few but that's what seems to be the trend when you go on a cruise. I've done a couple before and never had much trouble with motion sickness but this one was a home run for Dramamine. I was sucking on those things like they were going out of style. Maybe I am overly sensitive and can feel a slight move on the ship. I felt EVERY freaking move. The worse was trying to run on the treadmill. I could not run straight, I kept bumping or holding on to the side rails. I had to concentrate and fixate my sight on a spot in the dreadmill so I would not be moving from side to side. I took two spin classes and felt the same way. I truly thought the bike was going to tip over but it was just my mind playing the usual tricks. The fun part was trying to walk in a straight line sober while heading to the bar
I got back this past Sunday and it took me two days to get back to normal. I swam on Monday and did the drainer on Tuesday. I am trying to get motivated for what is coming up but still laggie-gagging in upping the w.out hrs and getting up early. We'll see how this week goes.
I just wanted to pass along some information to everyone on some tri related products. I was able to acquire some sponsorship deals (all I get out of this is discount on products) and just wanted to pass on the savings to whom ever wants to try it.
