Well I completely failed this challenge!  Starting with celebrating my bday week the 2nd week of Dec., then I came down with some crud and was too tired to train for a week, then after a week of eating properly hubby and I decided we wanted pizza and beer Friday night, and then there was free beer after the CX race Saturday.  So I keep going up and down, not getting below my lowest weight of the challenge.

BUT I'm doing a green smoothie detox beginning Jan. 2 so I'm up for another weightloss challenge!  I'm determined to get to race weight before the season starts.

I'm interested in hearing more about the green smoothie detox... Are you doing a homemade recipe or prepackaged? Any more info? I have thought about detoxing before but never got enough information about it.

wgraves7582 - 2010-12-21 1:01 PM What did we ever decide about doing 1/1/11 and continuing or resuming for some of us?

I would like to continue!

I think more success will come once I move (Jan 1).

Morning all. I am done with the holiday party rush and look like I am back to my starting weight (facing East).  I am happy for a no net gain! I am hosting an open house on Christmas and just need to put a few healthy options on the menu! Workouts have gone way down so I hope to get a little more in now that I am off work until Monday.  My motivation is low however.  Thank goodness I have a bike trainer set up in the basement.  I least I can get on there and feel like I've done something!

I have heard that but never figured it out Tongue out

My weight this challenge has sounded like an old calestethics routine - Up -Down - Up - down - Up down (had to end on a down.....)

I hope everyone had a Happy Christmas and are ready for the New Year!

This is the first New Years eve my wife and I have had open for about 5 years. We were involved with a youth group and were always chaperoning a dance. This year we're involved at a different level and aren't involved with the dance. I'm not really sure what we're going to do.

I'm ready for the New Year challenge. I totally bombed this month. My bike died. I banged my elbow and messed up my shoulder so swimming and push ups have been out for the last week or so. I don't really have an excuse for not running or doing sit ups except that it did get kind of busy this last week getting ready for Christmas. I'm planning on getting in a few runs in this week but am taking a break on the rest so I can be ready to go for the new year.

I just did my morning weigh in... Yesterday I was 174 and today 158?!?

I checked 2 more times and got the same number. Very irritated that my scale may be broken (I didn't think that I lost 16lbs from eating chocolate, fries and pasta yesterday... but I did spend an hour on my spinner...) I picked it up to examine it. My loving cat was so kind to rig it so that her mommy can see results faster - there was a toy mouse wedged underneath it.

I'm in a few challenges that weight loss is a component so I will post it around all 3 since it's such a cute story - sorry if you're in multiple challenges with me!

I'm a bad boy. I made some of my coworkers cry. We're still having holiday goodies at work. I brought in nachos and mixed in some jalepenos. I guess some of the moisture has evaporated out of the cheese sauce over time so it is now thicker and spicer then when I first made it.

Hey everyone!

As December comes to a close the Crushers want to extend a January challenge invite to the BT community...

http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=237559&posts=1#M3267504

I still want to do the continuation of our weight loss challenge if someone is running one.
