I'm doing this one just for fun this year and won't worry about time or pace. Besides, Miss Thing is planning on doing it with me (and I insist she run it, not walk cuse she is a runner who doesn't realize it--when you see the legs on this kid you'll understand what I mean)QueenZipp - 2008-12-18 9:59 PM max - 2008-12-18 8:57 PM aquagirl - 2008-12-18 9:38 PM Did 75 minutes with my good friend Kurt blasting in my ears.....who else sings when on the drainer?? Come on admit it! My family thinks I'm insane...... I sing too, but usually the music is loud enough to drown out my crappy voice. The benefit of living in the country and not having kids around the house any more. So you'er singing with me along the 10K in March? Ought to be real interesting Oh definitely. But you'll have the advantage of being able to run away from me to escape it. I'm just not a fast runner. I am liable to do any number of wacky things in a race, just to relieve the mental strain of running. Let's see, in various races I've worn a pink skirt, a pink afro wig, a long blond wig...I'll have to go costume shopping before March.

Oh for sure...I can't possibly drive all the way down there and not have fun and do something crazy. We'll need to take some sort of pictures that will be talked about on BT for at least 2 weeks, minimum! Maybe we can round up a few other BT-ers local to you when the date gets closer. Nothing like having company when you want to make a fool of yourself.

Well I'm finally back on the bike, riding along to the 2005 Kona Ironman. Unfortunately I blew my bonus points which I could have prevented by staying in the first hotel. The 2nd one didn't have a fitness center AND it was $10 per night more expensive! So now I have to start over again.

There's a chance I can start running again in February if the meniscus is healed, so there is a small chance I'll be able to do the race. I'm going to talk to my sports doc in February to see how it goes. If I can't run, I'll come out to watch everyone else. |

I had to cut my workout short to prepare for the holidays. When you neglect your house during training season it catches up with you! Last night I bought a Computrainer tire for the trainer. It is a lovely bright orange color which will look so nice on the Cervelo. Not! At least the trainer can't eat the trainer tire as quickly. |

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! I have been using Michelin Pro 2 Race tires on my bike now for 3 years, and I use the same tire on the road and on the Computrainer, and they wear like iron. The trainer doesn't seem to wear them out at all. They aren't the cheapest tires around, but then they last so long, I'm real happy with them. I have the same set of tires on my bike now since last summer, probably 4,000 road miles and hundreds of trainer hours on them! I run them at 115 PSI. If you get these, get the Pro 2 model. It's a harder tread surface than the Pro 3 version. The 3's are smoother riding on the road but will wear out quicker and are more puncture-prone. Bike Nashbar sells the 2's HERE for $50 3-athlon has them HERE for $37.95, this is a good deal! And All 3 Sports has them HERE for $44.95

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: December's "Get Your A$$ On The Trainer" challenge! You can save money in the long run by getting the continental home trainer tire and if you can get it from probikekit.com it is free shipping and not tax. That means you don't wreck your outside tires on the trainer. You can only use the home trainer tire on the trainer as it isn't the right compound to ride safely on the road. It is quieter and cheaper than wrecking a road tire and replacing it. I've bought new cheap tire every year to use on my trainer and long run this trainer tire will be cheaper. Wow under $20...too
