runnerx - 2008-12-06 9:59 AM Morning Tods', Looks like it's turning into more than a "GF" hatin' thread. I missed alittle last night that seems like it could have really taken off in a new direction... Anyway, I think the lesson is to enjoy what you have. Give more, expect less. But don't let yourself get stepped on. If that happens, then it's not meant to be. I feel like wihtin the past week I went from despair, to anger, to understanding, to acceptance, to experienced old fart. I'm going today to look at a house for sale. I've been so undecided about where I want to live - near the kids is great for them, but more expensive. Living a little further out is where I, for myself, would like to be. I think the gf thing just muddles up the picture. Now, it seems a bit clearer - I'm feeling the kids need to be #1. Then I'll be settled and I'll be in a better place as far as being ready for relationships. Oddly, my ex-gf even felt a bit uneasy about me being un-settled, yet her being there didn't help me get there.

I hope you like the house....it is such a buyers market that you can really be choosy!

as much fun as i'm having hanging out here all by myself, i think i'll go get dressed for a run. not a long one, training plan says 30 minute run on there, but i usually end up going between 2.5 and 3.5 miles, so we'll see just how many MINUTES that takes me. i'm not loving this plan with it's minutes instead of miles, it's a weird plan. it's exactly the same every week, the only thing that changes is the long run. so it's
30 min run
30 min run
easy walk
long run (this week i'm up to 5)
the long runs go up to the whole 26 miles, but the rest of the plan NEVER changes. i might be looking for a different plan soon. since the marathon i want to do isn't until the end of june. i guess i have time. maybe i'll just do this plan until spring, then START a regular marathon 8 week plan. hmmm oh well

What marathon are you planning to run?  I would like to do Seattle at the end of June....I will do a Pfitzinger training plan....I did it for my last marathon and felt very prepared and well-trained!.....miles, not minutes!

Happy Saturday Team!

Despite a late start this morning I got a lot accomplished.  Did laundry, got groceries, and got in a decent trainer ride and a run outside.  Yay me!

Time to curl up on the couch and watch football for the rest of the day

runnerx - 2008-12-06 9:01 AM And tthis morning, I got in my 2nd run since my injury. Wow, have I fallen off the wagon. But slowly, I'll get back into this. Ironman training will be about slow and steady, and not speed. I really hit my low point on so many fronts the past few weeks. Now I got my therapy sessions (running) back, so that's a positive.

I just got done with a good therapy session.  I've been nursing a foot injury and am just easing back into running.

Injuries suck. I bet it feels good to be back out there

Yeah, I curious about that training plan myself. Sorry, but only running 30 mins at a pop during the week, and then building the long run on the weekends? That has injury written all over it. Lyssa - seriously - that's not good. At least one other run during the week, make it longer - 8 miles perhaps. Are you doing any othr cross-training?

well, I did it. I put in an offer on the house. This one felt right from the moment I saw it. They're having an open house tomorrow - hope everyone is too busy with christmas shopping to even think of stopping in.

Oh...and if I get it...you're all invited for a wine party so we can all complain in person about significant others.

Speaking of wine.....anyone drinking tonight?  I'm not.  Yet.   Kids are still up.  I like to wait until they are all snug in their beds before I get my wine on.  That way I can totally relax and enjoy the quiet and wine.

At the risk of sounding like an alcoholic......yes.  I'll try and keep it just a couple of glasses though.  I have an early morning date with the pool

Providence.  I'm still not 100% sure I am going to do the full.  It is way intimidating!  I don't know if I have the time for a 20 mile training run with Bryan going out to sea so much.  We'll see.

I'd love to come down to PA.  I haven't been since the 4th of July!  I have family in Allentown.
