No, pumpkin recipies are easy. Just steam or roast and smush or eat whole. I add it to stir fries too (after steaming a bit) Oh and I make a killer soup that is baked inside a pumpkin. Fun for all Later.. |

Nah - they are your things - call them as you desire Heck you carried them around for 9 months - I am not saying a word of criticism. I told my daughter that if my son doesn't change his attitude I was going to kick his A## (And I never swear in front of my kids (or people in general most of the time)) She got a big kick out of that - I said it jokingly and would never hurt my son - but you know how they get when they get to that age! I told him last night and he just sort of looked at me - trying to decide if I really was joking haha - kids are great! teens...well they are just.... teens! you gotta love them! |

What I learned about bacteria--bacteria kind of suck (unless they are there naturally, which in some cases can be bad) if you remove a child's spleen the chances of septic infection increases for encapsulated bacteria (menigococcal, haemophilus influenzae and pneumococcal) so basically you can get meningitis, pneumonia, bacteremia (high bacteria in blood)= bad news bears=septic shock=systemic inflammatory response syndrome=disseminated intraavascular coagulation, acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute heart failure, acute renal failure....also bacterial infections are yucky...more info to come with staph and strep infections later this week... ya....good stuff who needs to go to school...we got Melissa to teach us all the above! and more to come!!! Who needs to get ALS/BLS/BTLS...we have our own walking talking version!!! we look forward to the medi updates! ;} ...shucks, by the end of the month we will all be medically trained thanks to you!!! |

Lunch meat platter with tomatoes and all that good stuff. I am having a bowl of tomatoes with light dressing on it now (even though I just ate at 11:30 (less than 2 hours ago)) I better workout extra hard tonight for these calories Sounds yummy. It appears my company needs a lesson from yours on how to provide good food for its employees, the emphasis on good. I would think the emphasis would have been just bring "food" ...NOT CRAP! then we can bring back the adjectives! |

Some weird thing she calls "homework". What is this strange thing, I ask?
Be back later. what homework...they still do that???? Did teenagers ever do homework? At 7:30 pm tonight, as she started on the poster presentation she has to turn in tomorrow, I reminded her that there is such a thing as the "I hope you have one just like you" curse. And she's Exhibit A! I love playing that game! Last year my son (then in 5th grade) put me through the wringer trying to get him to finish his report/poster for the state of Iowa. Definitely payback for youthful procrastination on my part! This year has been much better though. I got worse as I got older. It didn't really show on my report cards until my Senior year. I fear that this is just the beginning. at least you went....my parents used to say...we would drop you off at school...you would go in one door and out the other.... and I used to ask...were you over there at the other door I was heading out or something??? how did you know? parents answer: school would call...is Julie sick? shes not at school! DARN SCHOOL RATTTING ON ME!!! can I help it that I liked the beach better then my senior year at school!!!! PLUS ~~~~ life is a beach is it not!!!??? not sure why my parents grounded me for so long...guess they didnt get that memo!
The same reason you grounded your children for doing the same thing right? well I would have loved to...but she never gave me reason to! they say round parents square kids...well that goes for schooling too...they say special ed parents...SUPER SMART KIDS! yup thats it...the last one! not downing myself...but she seriously took on my husband physics minded mind! not my silly simple related math 2 mind! |

Final mileage was around 9. With a little water I probably would have kept going for a little while longer That sux that they would turn the water off!!! soooo what did this no water teach you Neal??? hint: fuel belt would be in order for all long runs from here on out!! I should have known. It has gotten near the freezing mark here. And yes, fuel belt from here on out for sure good call! you wont be sorry next time you down that chocolate energy shot! |

I have a blister on the arch and the top of my right foot and on the ball of my left foot. I will be stopping tomorrow to pick up some more BG before I go out running. The Band-Aid brand stuff didn't go on nearly as well as the BG and I even questioned it in my mind before I went running.Take care of those feet Ghoulies!!! sorry you have blisters! and you take care of yours too Ann! Im sending some quick blister healing thoughts to you! did you get them and are they all healed now????? hoping/praying!!!!!!!! I did get them, in the form of some moleskin.
