Night Ghoulies. Hope to catch up with you (grinning) tomorrow.

No, pumpkin recipies are easy. Just steam or roast and smush or eat whole. I add it to stir fries too (after steaming a bit) Oh and I make a killer soup that is baked inside a pumpkin.  Fun for all
Later..

skrtrnr - 2009-10-21 12:19 PM it kinda ruins that 'im a good mom' thang i got goin' on.

Nah - they are your things - call them as you desire

Heck you carried them around for 9 months - I am not saying a word of criticism.

I told my daughter that if my son doesn't change his attitude I was going to kick his A## (And I never swear in front of my kids (or people in general most of the time)) She got a big kick out of that - I said it jokingly and would never hurt my son - but you know how they get when they get to that age!

I told him last night and he just sort of looked at me - trying to decide if I really was joking

haha - kids are great! teens...well they are just....

teens! you gotta love them!

I just take him to practice football and use him for a dummy and knock him around on the field - that is legal you know

I heart my kid and I am j/k around

what??? you mean to tell me you let them out of the closet??? ours got out on occasion...but that occasion was when she broke out and made a run for it!...

and again...I hope you all know I am joking!!! she is fabulous! and a great contribution to society!

even though she does have to wear sunglasses at nite! (KIDDING!!!!) KIDDING..KIDDING!

mndymond - 2009-10-21 9:31 AM Ok well I kind of sort of caught up of the 10 pgs made since I went to bed last night.

What I learned about bacteria--bacteria kind of suck (unless they are there naturally, which in some cases can be bad) if you remove a child's spleen the chances of septic infection increases for encapsulated bacteria (menigococcal, haemophilus influenzae and pneumococcal) so basically you can get meningitis, pneumonia, bacteremia (high bacteria in blood)= bad news bears=septic shock=systemic inflammatory response syndrome=disseminated intraavascular coagulation, acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute heart failure, acute renal failure....also bacterial infections are yucky...more info to come with staph and strep infections later this week...

ya....good stuff

who needs to go to school...we got Melissa to teach us all the above! and more to come!!! Who needs to get ALS/BLS/BTLS...we have our own walking talking version!!!

we look forward to the medi updates! ;} ...shucks, by the end of the month we will all be medically trained thanks to you!!!

my husband is the first to throw things out now! I love it! every so often he will make a dump run...these are becoming further and further apart as we are finally getting down to the basics! and ahhhhhhhhhhhh it feels great! I truly do not find myself cleaning much and it always looks soo sparkly clean! lovin it!

I dream of that day!! Hubby is great at throwing away others stuff! If it belongs to the kids or me it has no value but he can have 10 different screwdrivers and he needs them alllllll! Other then that he is great!

Your husband and my husband must have learned that at the same place!!!

my husband was there too! seriously...he had some issues of packratting! but just like kids...well actually much harder to teach then kids...but they do learn! and if they dont..take a frying pan to the head and try, try again!

Neal - we have some good leftovers here.  Lunch meat platter with tomatoes and all that good stuff.

I am having a bowl of tomatoes with light dressing on it now (even though I just ate at 11:30 (less than 2 hours ago))

I better workout extra hard tonight for these calories

Sounds yummy.  It appears my company needs a lesson from yours on how to provide good food for its employees, the emphasis on good.

I would think the emphasis would have been just bring "food" ...NOT CRAP!

then we can bring back the adjectives!

It is usually good but the other day they had this goulash concoction that was pretty nasty.  All you could taste is garlic.  Pretty bad!

well that just sounds down right disgusting...first of all not a goulash fan...it to me is just last weeks left over mixed in a pot...this was a catered lunch?

Crap! 13 y.o daughter "needs" my computer. Some weird thing she calls "homework". What is this strange thing, I ask?

Be back later.

what homework...they still do that????

Did teenagers ever do homework? At 7:30 pm tonight, as she started on the poster presentation she has to turn in tomorrow, I reminded her that there is such a thing as the "I hope you have one just like you" curse. And she's Exhibit A!

I love playing that game! Last year my son (then in 5th grade) put me through the wringer trying to get him to finish his report/poster for the state of Iowa. Definitely payback for youthful procrastination on my part! This year has been much better though.

I got worse as I got older. It didn't really show on my report cards until my Senior year. I fear that this is just the beginning.

at least you went....my parents used to say...we would drop you off at school...you would go in one door and out the other....

and I used to ask...were you over there at the other door I was heading out or something??? how did you know?

parents answer: school would call...is Julie sick? shes not at school!

DARN SCHOOL RATTTING ON ME!!!

can I help it that I liked the beach better then my senior year at school!!!!

PLUS ~~~~ life is a beach is it not!!!???

not sure why my parents grounded me for so long...guess they didnt get that memo!

The same reason you grounded your children for doing the same thing right?

well I would have loved to...but she never gave me reason to! they say round parents square kids...well that goes for schooling too...they say special ed parents...SUPER SMART KIDS! yup thats it...the last one! not downing myself...but she seriously took on my husband physics minded mind! not my silly simple related math 2 mind!

disturbed275 - 2009-10-20 6:02 PM So I decided to just do one more loop and head home.  Final mileage was around 9.  With a little water I probably would have kept going for a little while longer

That sux that they would turn the water off!!!

soooo what did this no water teach you Neal???

hint: fuel belt would be in order for all long runs from here on out!!

I should have known.  It has gotten near the freezing mark here.   And yes, fuel belt from here on out for sure

good call! you wont be sorry next time you down that chocolate energy shot!

I have a blister on the arch and the top of my right foot and on the ball of my left foot. I will be stopping tomorrow to pick up some more BG before I go out running. The Band-Aid brand stuff didn't go on nearly as well as the BG and I even questioned it in my mind before I went running.Take care of those feet Ghoulies!!!

sorry you have blisters! and you take care of yours too Ann! Im sending some quick blister healing thoughts to you!

did you get them and are they all healed now????? hoping/praying!!!!!!!!

I did get them, in the form of some moleskin. I didn't think I had any, but there it was. Did you send it? Thanks.

haha...must have been the thoughts we were all sending you that helped you find the moleskin! so how are they today? all better?

Feet are sore and I'm running a bit of a fever I came home from work early and took a 4 hour nap. 2 hours for each of us, how do you like them apples. I disconnected the phone line beforehand, too. I'm thinking I'm going to take today as a rest day instead of Friday.

REST REST REST! you take care Ann...and todays nap is all about you...I give mine up to make you feel more rested and to get better quicker! but, tomorrow were back to normal, ok!? feel better! I am a little bit concerned - after my bike ride I walked over to my son's practice field and my ITB was bothering me.

I hope it is not effected by riding as well since I let it go so long - but that will be determined Friday when I return to the Chiro.

GOOD THOUGHTS FOR YOU BILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jules.  Trying another ride tomorrow so that will give some more feedback for the chiropractor.

yup...a) you being a giver like that and all...or is it b) you are like my hubby and have withdrawals when away from his bike!??

a? or b?
