Just comfortably numb....

Um.  Aren't you at work?

If I tase you, maybe you won't be numb anymore.....  Hm....

But you can still taze me if you want

pdbman - 2010-06-28 5:06 PM Got my lunchtime bike ride in today. The summer weather is starting to get a little warmer.

WARMER????  Oh wait, you're in Utah.  Nevermind.

Around here, it's been at LEAST 95 F every day.

Today's high is supposed to be 99, but the humidity is low. Plus, my sensitivity to the heat has been kind of tempered by the 120+ that we were working in when we were in Mexico earlier this month.

I usually start to feel pretty numb by the end of the day when I'm at work.

pdbman - 2010-06-28 4:24 PM Also do we need to do anything with those that didn't even enter goals or do the formulas adjust for that?

Kick them out!!!  That's my vote...

Can we at least taser them prior to kicking them?

Sounds brutal. You want to taser them, then kick them?

Tri-ingToTurn40 - 2010-06-29 3:33 PM I really don't want to jinx myself, but I've already thought it and I can't make it any worse by typing it out can I?

Tonight looks like a good night to make my Oasis route in sub one hour goal. 78 degrees, 50% humidity, winds of only 5 mph.

On the other hand, when was the last time I was even on my bike, ack!!

This is my last chance. Sure there's tomorrow, but what are my chances of making it then after going all out today?

Go for it today. Then if you don't make your goal, you get another chance tomorrow.

Oh yes, I did. Going for it today was never in doubt. I was just concerned that if I didn't make it, I'd be to trashed to make a respectable attempt tomorrow.

So........... I did it! Woot! Look at my training log--I haven't even been on this bike since I did this ride on the 10th!

Ack! Definitely need to set more bike goals next month. I think I'm going to do the TDF challenge and not the non-TDF challenge. I think my swimming and run/walking will take care of themselves--I've set a very good pattern thanks to this challenge--and my biking clearly needs more attention.

Green stars are the easiest to earn so it won't be long before you have several. Unfortunately, they are also the easiest to lose. But they come back quickly!

Sorry team, just as I was set to double up lots, my son got sick, and then I had to work extra and it just screwed me out of a good number of workouts.

If you need a "fail sig" feel free to say "We lost the June Challenge, and it's all Chad's fault"

It would be honest, and make me laugh.

Trainer ride this morning and updated logs...  I'M AT 100% OVERALL!

Swim - 100%
Bike - 125%
Run - 75%

Can you tell which sport I don't like doing when it gets hot out?  Still going to squeeze in one or two more workouts if I can.

Tri-ingToTurn40 - 2010-06-01 12:43 PM I have my goals set:
  • 2 bike rides 15 miles long sub one hour.
    • Note: I'll do more rides than this. But at least 2 have to meet this requirement.
  • 9 walk/run sessions 2 miles long.
  • 11 swim sessions following the Ruth Kazez 0 to 1650 plan.

Here's how I did:

Bike: 2/2 = 100%
Unfortunately, I did not do much biking other than that. Frown

Walk/run: 10/9 = 105%
I started the C25K plan. Smile

Swim: 10/11 = 90.9%
I'm short one workout, but I skipped one so I am on track to meet my goal of swimming a mile on July 2nd. Smile

Overall: 98.6%
That's an A!

Just updated the spreadsheet. Added a swim to my run and bike yesterday. I'm trying to catch up for my procrastination earlier this month. I am determined to do it. I'm not going to have the team lose by one workout that I missed like last month (Seriously, if I had done one more workout last month, my team wouldn't have lost).
For today, I have a run this morning, swim and strength training at lunch, bike after work, and run this evening. Why do I do this to myself? Tomorrow just might be a rest day. If I don't get this, the whole team can give me daily tasings for a week.

Unfortunately, the highest you can get is 105% so the spreadsheet has to be adjusted down to 105%. Get out there and go for a run. You can do it.

Sorry, my goal wasn't just swim sessions. It was "swim sessions following the Ruth Kazez 0 to 1650 plan." I honestly don't think doing 2 of those in a day would be a good thing.

For the team, I went ahead and did this morning's even after getting vaccination shots--one in each shoulder--yesterday. Tongue out

Now I'm resting up for my personal goal of swimming 1650 straight through on Friday.

Hey, I am planning a run/walk for my lunch hour today. Is the 105% cap per goal or overall? If it's overall, this will take my run/walk score to 122% and raise my overall score.

OK folks. Here's the latest update. But keep it quiet. We don't want the other team to know.
Bill's team - There's no way we can compete with his mileage this month so we'll just say he wins and move on to the competition between team 2 and team 3.
Team 2 - Team 3
Goal 1 - 85.0% - 81.9%
Goal 2 - 79.9% - 82.7%
Goal 3 - 76.5% - 79.6%
Goal 4 - 80.8% - 76.4%
Overall - 81.4% - 81.3%

Post padding - No competition Team 2 wins this hands down.

So as of right now, we are just barely in the lead but I am sure not everyone on both teams have updated the spreadsheet so its not over yet. Make sure you get in your workouts and update the spreadsheet so we can win this.

The 105% max is per goal. We'll let you off on doing that one more swim since you already did one after getting shots. I would say that is definitely doing one for the team. Good work this month.
