Whew just catching up after 1.5hrs of training.

So Grey and I caught a movie last night after dinner, and we held hands the entire time! Cute?
Then he asks if he can see me before I leave town for the weekend... can he take me to dinner Thursday night... tells me it's a nice place, wear something like what you're wearing tonight but bring a scarf or layer because we'll be dining outdoors. Very attentive!

let's be clear -- there is a risk of seismic activity and there is the desire to over-regulate.  california meets BOTH of those requirements, hence the extra exam.

fun fact:  the GREATEST risk in the US for an unexpected devestating quake is really along the mississippi river.  it's a significant fault line and has been inactive for a really long time.  she is due.

not all states have tests if they have reciprocity with the state you are licensed in...he's basically getting all the states that have full reciprocity with VA that his company MIGHT do business with.

I think that's how it should be.  Maybe that's just me?  The wife still holds onto my arm and we hold hands all the time and sit on the same side of the booth at a restaraunt.  Even after 10 years.

hahahah, engineering careers make for lots of debbie downer dinner convos.  "hey guess what i found in baby food packaging today?"  "do you realize how many bridges in va are at risk of collapsing in the next 3 years?"  "today i learned how many engines will have catastrophic failures this year"

that's how it should be if the people like hand-holding.  i personally hate it.

Exactly.  Very FEW states have additional testing.  My CO license has reciprocity/comity just about everywhere save CA (who just wants to be special) and I THINK NY.

I would collect them, but then paying to keep them active every two years and many states have continuing education requirements...  It's a lot of work keeping up (and expensive).  So I keep CO since I may go back.  Obvioiusly keep NV and CA once I get it.  Then get them as required if I need to do work in other states.

Not a hand holder unless sitting down or on vacation, love to hold an arm when walking across streets or downtown.  Same side of the both if it is casual place for a burger or chain place. 

They have been saying that since I was a kid growing up in STL.  Last one there changed the course of the Mississippi river.  When the New Madrid goes, it's going to level STL (they predect).  I still remember minor shakes growing up.

You are not wrong for sure. There is significant risk on the fault you describe (New Madrid) but other significant faults in CA are 'due' also.

Cheri and I decided he is VERY "Christian Grey"-ish. I mean I wouldn't know fully yet, if-you-know-what-I-mean, but just in the way he communicates and how he's very attentive to things. He's what my friends would call "fancy" - compared to some of the last guys I've dated. Confident, can take control, sweet. So far anyway

Thus inspiring my major change.

Well, we don't hold hands all the time walking around.  She is more of a arm linked think.  Are hands don't line up, if that makes sense - so it's a touch awkwad.

Just at movies and such is where the hand holding occurs.  And she always has to sit right next to me on the sectional couch even though we have PLENTY of room to spread out...  That, I'm not a fan of, especially when it's hot.

I wonder if Tony makes his woman walk behind him...

Not enough anyway. I think there is plenty of crossover in the architectural world, though. 

Our interests are just a little more ... aesthetic. 

I switched from a mathmatics/physics double major to engineering because the engineers were cool compared to the mathmatics/physics students.

Seriously, my classmates in physics were straight out of Big Bang Theory.  I couldn't handle it.  The last straw was when we were playing volleyball at a picnic and they were talking about the vectors of the ball flight...  I walked away immediately and signed up at the engineering college.

Sleeping in bed with someone is the killer for me.  I am a quiet peaceful sleeper and generate a lot of heat, so I create a little pocket of warmth underneath the blankets.  I don't like my pocket disturbed while I am sleeping so I have a weird rule of one degree or sheet/blanket between us. 

Its a hard limit.   

Hahaha. I respect you for your decision. 

I got an email at 4 am from my mom saying that she was robbed in London and lost all her paperwork and she needed to have me send her money immediately to get back home.

It was sent to about 100 people, the note was addressed to "everyone", and signed "regards", she has plenty of money, and I called her at home in STL just the other night.

Should I respond to the email and send the cash transfer?

I think I'm a good sleeping buddy...  I could be wrong.
