I ran with my 4 yo golden retriever today. He grabbed his leash off a table and insisted on coming with me.  I took him for 4.5 miles (1/2 of the run).  Then I brought him home.

This is very strange.  I started reading our thread and wrote the lastpost.  Somehow, it came up as my son's post ("trikarate"!!!!  How did that happen?

Offthegrid - 2008-10-03 8:50 PM I will be glad when she's older (she's almost 1) and calms down a bit.

My golden retriever is turning 4yo and he is just now calming down!  Good luck!  Running with him has definitely helped.

Let me introduce myself....my name is Linda.  I am 51 years young (although much older than all the recent birthday folks!).  I love the run challenges since running is one of my favorite things to do.  I had planned to run a marathon on 10/12, but I wasn't well enough  prepared.  I had a terrible month of running in August.  I got back on track with a running challenge in September, but too late for the marathon.  I think I might plan for a spring marathon because I definitely run better in cool weather when the majority of the training would occur.  Today I ran 9 miles.  My legs were killing me because I did a new leg weight workout yesterday with a bodybuilder friend.  This is not a good idea for the day before a long run!

Happy running....(and posting)

Hi Linda,

Not everyone round here is a spring chicken.. I'm nearly 47. I love running, it's my favorite of the three. Good luck with your marathon pursuits. Hopefully everyone here will keep your running on target.

Hi team.  Busy weekend for me here.  I spent the morning at church and the afternoon working on Halloween costumes for the kiddos.  The boys want to be cowboys and I had the bright idea of sewing the costumes.  Ugh.  What a long afternoon.  I have one finished and one more half done.  Just have the daughter's native american costume to do.  That one is for All Saint's Day at church so I have an extra day to get it done!  Hope everyone had a great weekend and got some running in!

Wow 23 pages already! My first time posting in this thread, so it's probably best to introduce myself. My name is Blake, and I will be the loudmouth for the month of October.

Ok Mila... I'm here in the thread, and now I expect some vixen pictures...

Good morning team! Nice to see the thread hasn't moved too much since I was last here - less for me to catch up on!!!

I rode 40k on my bike yesterday and this morning was swim squad. Tomorrow I am hoping to hit the gym at 5.30am for some dreadmill action and weights. However I have rehersals tonight for my play, its the last few days before the premiere, and if it runs late into the night my body may not want to cooperate tomorrow morning. Crossing my fingers it will be OK!!!

For now, I suppose. I have to admit, I liked the handcuffs.

And, amusingly enough, figured this would be his response.

Thanks for all the thoughts about my interview! They were all much appreciated.

It went. I have no idea if it went *well*, but it went. The energy level dropped as the interview wore on, but they were asking the same 11 questions of all the candidates, and I wonder if they weren't a bit bored. I really, really hope I at least score a second interview. The more time passes the worse I think I did. Someone asked me if I thought I didn't do well because I had self-doubt or if I really didn't think it went well - how on earth am I supposed to tell??? I seriously don't know what they were thinking. I think I did the best I could. I asked some good questions (I hope) which showed I was well-prepared and wanted to jump right in to the work. Hopefully that will go in my favor. Now I just sit anxiously and wait....and wait.....and waaaaaaiiiiiiiit............. *tap tap tap tap tap tap tap*
