So far the to-do list is: analytical chem homework, class, work, run, fill some nail holes with wood putty.  How's that for a cosmopolitan friday night?  I'm really living it up.

I made it to the gym and did an hour on the elliptical, 6.58 miles. It was hard to find the motivation at 9:45pm but I'm so glad I went. I'm going to get to bed by midnight so I can get up and run before another crazy day of work starts.

BTW, I was posting from the elliptical earlier. What a great way to pass the time!

Basically.. you just never go offline...

It was more about keeping the boredom at bay and trying to stay awake. At the 45 minute mark, which was around 10:40pm, I was sleepy!

Good Morning.

I will run tonight (3.5 miles) and complete my October challenge goal then, if nothing happens on the way. Then I want to do the initial test for the 100 push-ups in six week challenge. Tomorrow a hike is planned... Indian Summer is in full swing now, so we'll hike up "Looking Glass Rock" in the Pisgah National Forest (NC).

That sounds fabulous!  Enjoy the hike and the georgous weather.

I missed my 5-mile run this morning, no surprise since I was at the gym until 11pm last night and had an early client call. I'm off to the ortho doc for my 10 week x-rays and am praying for good news. I have another day of insanity at work, then my 5-mile run has to happen tonight. What a gripping Friday night that will be!

I have a 20-mile run on Sunday and am a little scared. Between my injuries, work schedule and some personal life challenges, I've barely been running. I'm using that run to re-evaluate my marathon goal. I hope it goes well.

While doing your run, look around and enjoy the scenery.  Look at how glorious it is.  Maybe that will put a smile on your face.

I'm thinking of adding a vodka tonic or two to the equation to class things up a little bit.  Wood Putty + Vodka Tonic = Sexy

I think that's supposed to go: It's raining, it's pouring, the treadmill is boring.

As long as she doesn't bump her head and then wet her bed tread, it's all good.

You're absolutely right. That's how I felt on my long run in Chicago on Monday, it was just beautiful. It's amazing how scenery makes it such a better experience.
