Expert 1117 Shalimar, FL | Subject: RE: Gabbing Gobblers - November Challenge Good morning gabbies! I'm back from Largo and my metric century ride to raise money for ALS research. Unfortunately I didn't get my log updated in time, but it's on there now. The ride was unusual for me -- we rode on the Pinellas Trail, a rails to trails project. It's a wonderful trail, but we had to stop at so many stop signs! It was also very emotional for me. It was a glorious day, and I had lots of time to think about my Dad who was a victim of ALS. Overall, a good experience And now I'm looking at Hurricane Ida heading straight for us! Who ever heard of a hurricane in November??? |

The jogger just has to dodge and duck as you flail by. - By middle age, most men should know that white/cream board shorts are a bad idea Holy smokes! That's a long time to aqua jog. kudos to you! |

Just powered through a 10km'er! WOOOOOO!!! New runners and all! Fantastic! My fantasticly EPIC playlist included: some Bon Jovi, some Phil Collins, some Lady Gaga, some MACARENA!!!! and other 90's dance tunes! Haha Nice job Melissa! My playlist today was Trivium, but I'm weird like that. I got a little over 3 done today and I have 5 on tap for tomorrow. Yay for Hal's plans! I must be weird too. I like to throw a little Trivium on the old playlist from time to time Nice to know I'm not alone! I actually got to see them in concert last year when they opened for slipknot. They put on a hell of a show too. |

If only I had a goal for that. Well, it *is* a "You pick the goal" month. So you *could* set a house-cleaning goal..... I might have to set a house cleaning goal. That's the only way it would get done for me. Telling myself that it can wait until next weekend can only last so long. |

What distance are you training for right now? Sorry if I missed that before. I'm training for the Carlsbad Half Marathon on Jan 24. It'll be my first HM. My longest recorded run ever at this point is 6.5, so I'm a bit nervous but really excited at the same time. You will do great Tom! |

Knee did not cooperate yesterday, so still going to aqua jog for now. My HM is realistically out of the picture, unless they move it from Fairmont Part to the Scuylkill River. Kim, sorry to hear that your knee is not healing. Continue on the aqua jogging and have a strong knee for next season! |

It is a gloriously sunny day here today.....kinda bummed I am teaching spin tonight and swimming.....I'd rather be outside. Just talked to my in-laws in Destin Cheri-they just put the storm shutters away and are pulling them out this morning. Hope Ida is a big miss for y'all. I am doing Jorge's wk 1 Q1 tonight. He posts the workouts kind of late so I find it easier to trail a week behind. I have a couple playlists up on my blog from last week and will put another up there today. Have a good one everybody! |

Tonight, I've got the Q1 workout for the week to do - LT test! I have to make sure to turn the fan on. Our basement is usually kind of chilly, but I warm up really quickly on the trainer. I want to get in a strength workout, too. |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: Gabbing Gobblers - November Challenge Good morning, everyone and Happy Monday My hopes for a long bike and/or run this weekend were dashed by tons of yardwork. Everything is now all ready for fall/winter outside, but it took a good 7-8 hours yesterday. Weather was beautiful... mid 60's and sunny. It's like that again today and I'd love to go out for a run at lunch, but I have a meeting that's an hour+ drive away at 12:30. I really need a workout because I ate like a pig all weekend and drank too much beer last night while watching my Eagles get beat by the $&%^@*@% Cowboys. It hasn't been a good sports week for Philadelphia. 1) Which is your favorite (S, B, R)? I think running because it's easy to just get up and go. Swimming and biking have "equipment" or "changing of clothes", etc. 2) What is your favorite thing to eat after a race? An ENORMOUS breakfast... Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Hash Browns, Toast and lots of Coffee. |

But now, like Jen, it is running...which is making me all the crankier for being injured. 2) Favorite thinkg to eat after a race? I'm with Bill on this one. Breakfast. Omelet and hashbrowns, the greasier the better!
