brick94513 - 2010-01-29 7:40 PM OMG!  I can't believe it.  So, for part of my main set today, I did a 5 x 100 all out with 1 minute rest between sets.  I finally broke the 1:30 per 100 barrier!!!!!  For my 5 reps, I went 1:29,1:29,1:29,1:30, and 1:31.  I've been trying to break this barrier for 6 months now.  It feels really good to finally tackle this goal; sorry, I just had to share.

Anyways, I added another 2250 to my swim goal.

WOW you swim fast .  Well Done !

Just got my last trainer session in, putting me over 100% for the month. All that's left is one more yoga session, and that's tomorrow between work shifts. January has been a very good month.

Got my 10-miler in this morning, so I'm good to go on my run goal.  Will probably log in an extra 5-7 miles tomorrow for good measure!  I'm also planning one more strength session tomorrow.

I squeezed out a few more miles for my run goal today.  I hoping to get over to the pool tomorrow and focus on some balance drills and upper body mechanics.

I apologize for being a bit of an anchor this month.  January has definately been a tough month for me both physically and mentally.  I just can't seem to shake the injuries.

Best of luck to all!  I hope we have the numbers to prevail!  Lets go Epiphanites!

Got out for a run this morning at dawn and also chalked a bike ride this afternoon before dinner.

The ride was actually quite intense as i was all pumped up.

I have exceeded my bike goal  of 175 miles and am getting really close on the run .

GO TEAM !

Today's the last day, don't forget to update the spreadsheet. I took a quick look at the other teams, and we are in last place, but I'm SURE that's because we're all so busy working out today! Go Epiphanies!

Got in my last run for the month- 10 miles, pretty nice run. That puts me over in running and makes up a bit for the last goal I didn't quite finish.

It was a fun challenge and really enjoyed being on a team with you all. I'm sure I'll see some of you again!

Cheers!

Oh no --- It's the last day of January!

Are you going to reach your goals? Today is the last day of the month, so give it one final push!

Please have the Team Spreadsheets updated with your final amounts by 6 PM Monday 2/1 EST. I'll pull the numbers and post the final standings.

But, since I'm sure you want to know where your team *currently* stands, here's an update:

1st place - Wind Chill Warriors - 88.9%
2nd place - Tased and Confused - 88.0%
3rd place - The Epiphanies - 87.2%

The standings are close, and there's still time to get another workout done. What are you waiting for? Go! Go! Go!

Dee

6-mile run this morning, then a yoga class this afternoon. . . Both workouts were really relaxed for active recovery.  I was already at/over 100% for both those goals, but I was too tired today to get in a good strength training workout!  Even so, I'm at 105% for the month.  Go team!!

Got a last drainer ride in tonight but came up a little short. I ran out of tv to watch and I just didn't have any more in me after this weekend. Also, my calf and achilles have been really hurting the last couple days so I have been afraid to run too much on it, so I'm definitely short there. I don't know what I did to it but I don't want to do anything to make it worse. I JUST signed up for a 4 mile race in March!

An untrue front wheel, and major hip pain put my on my butt last week.  I couldnt even get a full 6 hours of sleep in one session.  I keep waking up to a super sharp pain in my hip every few hours.  It hurts like hell to move my right thigh in any direction other than front to back.

I had a DR appt last friday but some piece of poop man came into the dr office <2 MIN before I got there complaining of numb hands and feet saying that he doesn't take his blood pressure meds.  So the DR took him in right away.  When I got there they said the DR was seeing his last patient of the day, my appt time not his.  They MADE me reschedule my appt 2 weeks later.  I cant beileve they did this to me.  It has been a problem for greater than 6 years and it just got really bed with this last rain we had.  Here is the really funny part my insurance run out in less than a month now(end of FEB).  it takes my DR's office about 3-4 weeks to process referrals, meaning I wont get the green light to get my MRI or what ever the next step is until mid march.

I dont have insurance at my job yet because Im an intern.  yeppe me.

Finally got in and logged my totals. Came close on most and would've hit my run and bike goals if not for being down for 5 or so days with a stomach bug. Good job everyone and have a great February!

I'm in the same boat - came close but was battling a sinus infection and chest cold for too long to meet all of my goals.  Thanfully, the aggregate came to 100% so I didn't hurt the team too badly.

Thanks to everything for a great team!

You may have done this already but you can reduce your goals if you have been sick or injured  during the month .
