Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge Happy Friday everyone! Rhoda, sorry to hear about your daughter... hope she's recovering quickly and completely! Rachel, bummer about the bike crash. Hope the road rash is healing! I have had a disastrous couple of days nutritionally (OK, maybe that's a bit dramatic). First of all, I'm totally hung over. We had a going away happy hour for my good friend and colleague who's moving to Buffalo, NY. Well, happy hour started at 4pm and ended at 11:30. Today is one of those "I'm never drinking again" days. In addition to the martinis and beer, I ate tons of bar food... delicious, but oh so naughty. And today, I've been eating greasy food, which is a requirement for a hangover. No workout today, but I did get in the pool yesterday for the first time since September. Yay! Would someone please hand me the Pop Tarts? Double Chocolate for me, please! |

Guillermo - no one moves to Buffalo!!! What is he coming up here to do? Funny you should say that, because I could end up in Buffalo as well. The bank I work for is being bought by M&T Bank, which is headquartered in Buffalo. The chances are very slim, but I could theoretically be sent up north! My friend just accepted a position with First Niagra Bank, also headquartered in Buffalo. I grew up in Syracuse, so I'm no stranger to the harsh winters. I actually lived in Buffalo for 1 year... in Getzville. |

Expert 1246 West Grove, PA | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge Bill, you'd be the first person I'd look up if I move up there!!! Well I finally pulled the trigger and signed up for a couple races. I'm doing a 5k in March with my wife. She's caught the exercise bug and we're doing it with a bunch of friends in our neighborhood. Should be a blast. I also signed up for a sprint tri in early May. I feel my motivation growing by leaps and bounds!!! Time to start some serious training! Have a great weekend everyone! |

However, I was tempted by a bag of Dorito's to have a snack when I am done. oooh ooh ooh tell us which temptation wins ... or both! 'cause you know, one healthy / one junk = neutral. they cancel each other out of course! Well, I plan on playing Rachet and Clank while eating Dorito's in about 10 minutes. That sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Friday afternoon. Would it be rude if I invited myself to join you? I'll bring the Doritos. what flavour? How about a bag of each? you mean one bag of cool ranch and one bag of nacho??? perfect I thought there were more than two flavours so I checked on-line. I counted 82 on the list. I may have to limit it to three or four bags. You pick the flavours. Edited by pdbman 2011-01-14 2:37 PM |

I think the junk food is the only thing keeping me from turning into a rabbit. If I start pooping a bunch of small hard round doots, I'm gonna call for emergency shipments of Pop Tarts. LMAO, only you, Yanti!! |

Veteran 222 Fresno, CA | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge Pooping small round doots, Doritos, and hangovers! I can't keep up with you all! Just checking in on a lovely Saturday morning. Got a bit derailed on the challenge this week. I managed to get in my S/B/R and Activities minutes, but scored a big Fail on the nutrition side. I even fell off the water bandwagon--although I had a good excuse...you can only drink so much water when you have 3+ hour drives scheduled in your business day or you pay the consequences. I made up for the lack of liquid last night by downing a pint of the most delicious stout when I met a friend at a local establishment after work Planning to get back on track this weekend...heading out for a run shortly. Everyone--have a good one! |

Master 2146 East Side of the Bay | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge good evening all! I can't believe week 2 is coming to a close! I totally failed on water today. Funny how I can drink much more consistently while at work. It also explains why my Saturday night Cosmo is hitting me like a ton of bricks. (lots of typos to correct. lol). Thanks to this challenge I am mostly on track with the nutrition. Thank you all for that. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: January Training and Nutrition Challenge Well, after a crazy week of hospital visits and bloodwork, I'm trying to get back on track this week! Sadly, I didn't eat as well or drink as much water as I should have... This week should be better. The only day I get excuses for is Thursday - we have to go back to the doc to check on my dd's bloodwork and it's my birthday!!! I'll say right now, that it will NOT be a junk food free day!! |
