This is REALLY good news. I can see where she is from here- though she is a long way off!

I'm glad they found her.

She is a really lucky girl. Now they just have to get her off the ledge, which will be a while, I expect. They need to get her down before the wicked weather gets here later today. Last time we had these types of warnings last week we had baseball size hail all around here (really baseball size- amazing). We lucked out right here but where she is on the rock face would be lethal with the winds and the rain, let alone hail. 

Ann, the search dogs were evidently what lead the helicopters to look at the ledges in that area. The dogs were all converging in that area of the trail. Win one for the SAR dogs!

Oh yeah, beating the weather is an absolute MUST! Especially if they're using a helicopter. I hope her injuries aren't too bad, she may be a dehydrated, and depending how far she feel could have some broken bones.

Gotta love SAR dogs. I'm sitting in the woods again on Sunday for another dog to certify. It's supposed to be about 15 degrees warmer this weekend than it was the last time.

 How much damage does baseball size hail do?

Always good to have a happy ending.  Way to go SAR dogs. 

I have a couple of friends who have totaled cars and one that has to have the whole roof replaced. Another friend got hurt pretty bad trying to rescue her goats and goat babies. (Only one goat hurt thankfully). I have heard of a lot of other damage to cars and the like. If you were out in it it could kill you.

ON that happy note. I am off. I am running away for a bit before the political dinner. There are MANY other things I would rather be doing than going to a political dinner. YUCK!

Well, I got in part of my workout today, and I will have time tomorrow to do my run that didn't happen today. 

I have started logging my calories here on BT.  So far it is helping me be accountable, though I did eat 3 cookies yesterday.  But I logged all their calories.

Wow--only 3 cookies? Dee, I would not have been able to stop myself. LOL.

Well, I am doing my part, and I got in another 3.5 mile run today. AND...drumroll please... I swam. Yep, I did.  400 yards continuous breaststroke, then a 50 freestyle, ten another 50 breast. Yay!!!

its a run day for me too.  2.1.  getting the boys off to school then hanging here at the house for a bit.

finishing up getting the kids packed for fishing camp this weekend.

and then a run

four appointments today - 2 with supervisors and 2 with clients.

i was gonna meet up with friends for dinner and a movie, but im thinking of just picking up some take out and heading home and watch something on pay per view.

im going out w a good friend tomorrow night.

the kid free weekend doesnt seem as daunting, at least not right now anyways. 

im actually looking forward to the peace and quiet and getting caught up with myself.  it seems like its been a WHIRLWIND for months now and i havent had any silence and solitude to process all thats been happening....THAT and SLEEP!  

its gonna be a work filled day tomorrow.  i have 2 1/2 weeks of progress notes to catch up on.  at my new job we do all our PNs electronically which is GREAT but it took the IT dept time to get me in the system and up and running.  ive been seeing clients and just havent been able to post notes....until this weekend.

so its NOTE POSTING Saturday morning, a workout 2 clients and then dinner with a friend.

Sunday im working at the Y, a client, back for a swim and then home to wait on the boys.

that about sums up my weekend.

I was just reading about the weather heading your way. STAY SAFE!!!

I was talking to the guy who takes care of the soccer fields last night while my son was at practice. He told me then that there wouldn't be any home games on Saturday. An email went out about an hour ago from the commissioner of the league saying the home games were cancelled this weekend because the fields were still swamps.

My team has practice tonight, only our second. We will try to find someplace to practice. They will get muddy, but the good thing is that they are all waterproof.

Actually I was thinking it sounds jam-packed for a quiet, restful weekend.  LOL
