Good Morning to you too! For me - to get my new cassette I got for Christmas on to my 2nd wheelset (I got Mavic Ksyriums for a very very sweet deal to replace my stock wheels). The first, being Mavic Carbones. I'm totally set. At the same time, I will also test out a couple saddles and ride near my bike shop - which is good, because I needed to put in 30 min easy ride. So perfect timing. I *love* my bike shop guy. I can return my saddle (Selle Italia Diva), even though it's WAY past the "return" date, and not in a great shape (saddle is white, but somehow it got discolored/ruined by my 70 miler ride...lesson learned, do not get white - I'm OCD, so black is better.
Has anyone else have saddle issues? I've tested 4 saddles so far...none fit me well. Selle Italia Diva is VERY close, but the nose feels a hair too wide. I'm going to try another SI and see if that works better. Edited by CyborgQueen 2012-01-05 12:41 PM |

Expert 844 | Subject: RE: kenj - motivated triathletes in training - CLOSED I would like to get a new saddle too. I promised myself that I wouldn't spend any money on bike stuff until I have rode at least 1k miles though. I have a tendency to buy expensive toys and then abandon them (golf clubs, etc.). I have to earn this one! |

Member 304 Wilmington NC | Subject: RE: kenj - motivated triathletes in training - CLOSED Nice 6 miler today, hard to get out of bed so early but always feel soo much better when I do. Hard to believe that i have no more double digit runs scheduled until the marathon- feels weird. I am eager to get back on the bike, its been a long time. I am going to wait until after the race so I dont have to worry about being sore etc.. I bought a new saddle last year and it doesnt fit well, I am putting the old one back on. I had a bike fit for my mother's day present and havent spent much time on the bike since to I am anxious to see if my arms go numb or not this season!

I have one at home that is very good, and another out here in CA that I have very good luck with too! Yup! I got my saddle replaced to Fi'zi:k Vesta. The nose is much smaller, and I didn't feel any pressure on my leg tendons at all. The seat is something I need to get used to, since it's been a while since I rode, so I need to build up my tushes again. At first, I was a little worried because it had the notch in the back like the Bontragers and I HATED that. But this one, I couldn't feel it at all. Bike guy took a look at the old saddle, and kind of pondered on what to do and said that the dye of the saddle pretty much got ruined. He'll never be able to sell it as new again. I looked the other way. The new saddle is a little cheaper than the Diva, but I am not asking for a refund. He went through this whole trouble for me anyways, so I "threw him a bone" in that sense. Poor fiance...he was like, "wait, I thought you LOVED the Diva." He just rolled his eyes back and said, "You're so OCD and a nitpick...I love you anyways." LOL!! I just want to be F*c**** comfortable on the bike. |

Which ones do you have? If they're women's Road Saddles, you probably will have better luck selling them on forums.teamestrogen.com than here.
On that note, does anyone here want a new Helmet? I have a barely worn Giro Atmos helmet I got last year, and after a few months, I realized that it was just one size too small. Size Medium. LMK if you're interested. |

I have had good luck with the Fizik Vitesse Tri saddle. It's supposed to be the same saddle that Chrissie Wellington uses. Adding that it does NOT makes one ride like Chrissie although we can all dream, right? |

Two burgers, red hots, or white hots, on top of a plate full of mac salad, home fries, and sometimes beans. That sauce is a meat based hot sauce that is like crack! We have about twelve places in Monroe County that exist serving only this or a variation of it. We are weird people. And fat |

I struggled - my form wasn't as bad as I thought, but I completely lost my breathing, which was really bad to begin with. I've got a lot of work to do there. Some woman was trying to learn to swim, which kinda put it in perspective. |

What is a red hot or white hot? So many questions!!!!It sounds like the Springfield, Illinois specialty - the Horseshoe. Toast with some kind of meat on top of that, then french fries, then a cheese sauce is poured over the top. Delicious and unhealthy. |

Expert 844 | Subject: RE: kenj - motivated triathletes in training - CLOSED Its a beer. Oh wait. The food. It was originally called a "garbage plate". It has also taken on many other names (Rubbish, Trash, etc. there are copyright issues). Now, you just go in and say "cheeseburger plate" or "hot dog plate". We are simple in our destruction of health here. |
