Avenging Angels Mid-Month Update!

Good evening, Angels! (Where's that picture of Charlie's Angels?) Can you believe it's the middle of December already? Here's a mid-month update of what we've all been up to:

Phil had a tough time this week, when his wife's Aunt L passed away from cancer. He will be going to her memorial, but it looks like there might be some bad weather on the way. In addition to shoveling mounds of snow, he also been doing LOTS of swimming, crunches and push-ups! In his remaining "free time," he's been cheering on 5th grader b-ball games.

Bripod
Brian is another team member participating in the Swim challenge AND the Abs/Pushups challenge. Did you know that w00t is the official word of 2007? Yes, it's spelled with zeros. Does he look like Jeremy Camp or Bozo the Clown? Votes are currently being accepted.

Cat (yeah, she's actually kaqphin. I never remember how to spell it.)
Cat has been SWIMMING! Most people think that cats don't like water. Our Cat, however, has logged 23676.73 yards so far this month. She is only working four days this week, then has off until January 7th! (Which means she'll have LOTS of time to swim!) Her Christmas tree is decorated and lighted! Plus, it's covered with STARS. (And some of us post padders BTers know how important STARS are!)

Kendra has all her presents wrapped! She'll be leaving on Friday to visit her Dad, who will be celebrating his 80th Birthday on the 24th. (Happy Birthday, Kendra's Dad!) She'll have to wait until mid-January to celebrate Xmas with her grandsons though.

After it snowed in Connecticut, Lisa went for a run. All was well until a car zoomed by and sprayed snow slush all over her. Brrrr! Since she was already cold and wet, she decided to swim too. But she arrived at the the pool to find the doors locked and the lights out! Yes, they were closed. (The nerve of them!)

Sgoehner
Scott learned that golf may not be the best sport to watch while on the trainer. In a daring move, he attempted to repair a plumbing problem. (We all know how that type of thing usually turns out.) Fortunately, his repair work was successful!

Texoma
Let's all welcome Jim back from the Land of Ice Storms! Want to see bike porn? Check his log. He is in love, and wants to apply for a marriage license. And yes, it's with his new bike frame. Wonder what Ms Tex will say about that.

Yoganerd
Did Sharon survive her Birthday! It seems she did! (Happy Birthday, Sharon!) On tap for today is a five hour cycling class. Yes, you read that correctly. F-I-V-E hours! Did she survive that, too? We don't know yet, as her blog hasn't been updated. Stay tuned.....

Swam 2500m this morning.  Which puts me to 8500m and a 10,000m goal.  Just 1500 more to go and 2 full weeks to do it.  Looks like I'll either be out of town or raising the goal.

Although, I'm at work right now, so I can't see it anymore. I don't get to see any pictures here.... Guess they actually want us to do work-stuff, eh?

Hello Angels!

I went to the pool today and they were OPEN! Woohoo! I stayed until they kicked me out! I got in 1950 before they managed to boot me out the door.  As usual, I had to deal with kids running around the pool with no lanes lines, and I totally bumped into them several times at the end when they were playing basketball.  Sigh.  But oh well, free pool!!! (I tell myself).

Anyway, I'll just have to finish the rest at home at the local gym, but that is far from impossible.

Hope everyone who is traveling has SAFE travels and a marvelous, wonderful holiday break! I love Christmas and New Years!

Yay! Another Angel swam today!

Not so great about the kids, but a free pool???? That's really unusual!

I'm in the same situation you are. I'll be traveling next week, so I'll be using a "loaner pool."

You have a safe trip too. Happy holidays! (Hm, I think I need to find some sparkly glitter, don't I? LOL)
