I am back at work, so I should be more active today.

Today is just going to be filled with thrills. I get to write a memo describing why I am not approving a totally enclosed treatment unit exemption then attend an EPA teleconference on the new Definition of solid Waste. . Tomorrow I get to go to a metal galvanizing facility and explain to them why it is bad to let the galvanizing water go to the stream and the groundwater.

My sister called last night and she was all but in tears. They are still without power. She hasn't showered since Saturday, and they are pretty much living in the laundry room and kitchen because the living room carpet is still wet.

She also said her husband was mad because when he got home there were dirty dishes in the sink and the laundry is piling up. Um... hello, how is she supposed to wash these things without power. He doesn't handle stress well, and he is also the kind of guy that thinks he needs to take care of his family and right now he can't.

She told me that they have to drive over power lines to get down the road from their house. The latest update she had was there are still 14,000 people without power in their area, so hopefully they will have it soon. If she doesn't have power by the weekend she is bringing the kids and coming up to my house.

That is  a long time with water in the house. I'll send some ghoulie power back on ju-ju for her (and Kim, too).

On the IPad - My DW and DD share one and I find it an easy FB type of portal but not really a good "computer" per say.  I might not understand it to it's full ability but maybe score him a small Apple LapTop (still need an external storage unit) instead of the IPad unless you find it more useful than I do.

Hi Ghoulies.  Been a hectic couple of days with meetings and things to line up prior to going on vacation.

Ann, you sister can come and camp out at my house next week.  I'll be gone and just my son and cats will be home, plenty of room for her and her kiddos.

Evening/Night. Been keeping myself busy at the clinic...the days go by pretty quickly because we just go go go. Oh learning how to doctor.

Heading down to IA this weekend for Neal's sister's wedding. Flying out red eye to Minneapolis on Fri night...Neal has to pick me up at MSP at 6am...then drive back to his parents and have a nap before getting ready for the wedding. Tomorrow is my pack night/ finish my presentation on depression with my partner before I leave for the weekend. Clinic on Fri and then I have to leave straight to the airport to catch the flight to Seattle to catch my red eye to MSP...why do the airports have to make this so complicated for me???

Tri the weekend after and then I'll be done my family med rotation and onto my SUDDEN DEATH elective with the medical examiner's office. Only on call for homicide...seeing how we are the murder capital of Canada right now...things are looking pretty good for a call. Haven't decided if that is a good thing or a bad thing yet! Haha!

Looks like things have been busy in the villiage! Always good to see!
