Master 1292 Houston | Subject: RE: Flying Fish II Just back from the pool and I feel good. I completed another 1700 yards today. It's going to be down to the wire but I think I will be successful with my goal. Only 6800 yards to go! I am shooting for another swim tomorrow but we shall see how the day plays out. Beautiful day on tap for us here in Southeast Texas so it was a really wonderful swim outside this afternoon. I had the pool completely to myself for over half the swim then a few others decided to join in. Just wonderful getting to swim outside in the winter on a sunny day!!! Have a great afternoon everyone!!! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Flying Fish II 2100 yards today. Should be a way to count it double though - since I sure did a lot of swimming through an obstacle course. (Kids, kid's toys, kid's balls, etc.) This brings me to 20350 yards for the month so far, which is 85% of my goal. |

Since there was an obstacle course, that would lead to the swim wasn't done in a straight line, which means extra-added yardage to the total, RIIIIIGGGGHHHHTTTT???!!! Go, Dee! Go, Dee-ster! Go, go! Here we go! I added 2200 yards myself tonight. Over and beyond the goal! Dang, I love the swim more than last month! But, I will need to start back in the running aspect to get ready for a 1/2 Mary in April. I know I won't drop the swim, but will keep it somewhere between 10 and 15 thousand for the month for the next 3 months. Thanks for getting these challenges going - I for one can attest that this DRASTICALLY helped me! C'mon, Fellow Flying Fish Friends!!!! Not too much longer! |

No, my dear - my PB was 4400 yards - IM MOO, BABY!!!! Let's see, I was totally under-trained and I swam only a couple or so 3000 yards training sessions before that race. It was the absolute worse, yet best, experience I ever did! You can read my RR sometime. If you like, I can locate the link and send it to you. Feb. Challenge doesn't look like a go for me due to Youth Club basketball hitting hard next month. March will be a better time. I won't slack, but I will be in an early "taper" of sorts. |

Oh come on Phil... If I can do the Dec and Jan challenge when I have over 3,500 kids in a basketball league, you can do a few measley miles or yards in Feb. You must find sanity somewhere, find it here!!! Edited by geauxtri 2008-01-26 9:16 PM |

Wifey is a supervisor of a loan dept. of a credit union, doesn't know her role yet in this merger, and her supervisor has been moved to a different area and heading up that. I need to be more flexible this coming month. Sorry. |

Oh, yeah - when the rates dropped down back in the middle of the week, it was quite hectic. Since we are "customers" of the credit union, we locked in at 4.75% for an in-house 10 year mortgage. We have a 15 year mortgage already and have about 5 years paid off, along with a second (lower) mortgage when we finished the basement off last summer. We are combining both mortgages together now for a slightly lower payment than what we were paying for the 15 year alone! |

I got 1200 yesterday and with 2500 on Monday I can get the extra 20% allowed. Lets go team. Yeah, I'm going to brave the 99,999 kids at the pool today and get a swim in. Nothing like dodging flying kickboards, balls and other pool toys. Not to mention the beloved infants who wear "regular diapers" (not the waterproof swim ones). Nothing like an encounter with yellow water, or even a few E. coli to brighten one's day. For those of you who didn't stop by my blog yesterday, here are some Fun Facts and Figures: "E. Coli What do I look like? I’m a straight rod and can move. Where can you find me? You can find me in the lower part of the intestine of warm blooded animals. What do I do? One family of E. coli, 0157, only ten of these are needed to give you diarrhoea and make you vomit." http://www.rowett.ac.uk/edu_web/Gut_reactions3.html Edited by D001 2008-01-27 12:34 PM |

CONGRATULATIONS to Who's Your Marmadaddy? This is the THIRD week in a row that they've had the top ranking! BUT remember that the challenge isn't over yet! Some of the teams are really close. January is now 87.1% completed. This is the FINAL WEEK of the challenge, so RUN, BIKE, SWIM! There's still time to help your team achieve that #1 ranking! I was out with friends last night watching a great cover band. I was also at Ikea eatin meatballs then I had sausages at night. Too much meat and beer perhaps? Blargh.
