Got back from the doctor.  The ef'ed me.  I SOOOO PISSED right now.  I talked about it earlier, and some of us guessed the "scam".

I guess I should be happy everything is perfect - but I'm still upset.

I started a rant here:

ETA:  Screw it, the link doesn't seem to work.  Look for it in CoJ.

Hey- I have a pain in the but Medical insurance issue.  It was supposedly resolved a year and a half ago, but the insurance company decided that they covered something that they shouldn't have and the hospital is billing me $500.  I'm rather ticked off.  I spent 2 months last summer fighting my employers, the insurance company and the union(they didn't want to get involved)

There have been a few times I had to stay late at work and finish up because I f'ed around on BT/CoJ/TAN..

You have to put your foot down with your bosses..  That you need to be given time to do things or they won't be done..  I worked for many years where I would stay late as "a favor" or to push something out at someone's request..  The more you do it the more they will expect it from you..  I killed myself working 18-20hrs a day 6-7 days a week for a year and a half working for one company..  After I left and called my old boss for a reference he wouldn't even answer the God D*mn phone..

Never again will I give a company ANY part of my personal life..

Well, I couldn't really pull them out of phone calls with all of our lenders. I don't usually have to stay late, and they know I want to go home. It's fine. When the pres says he needs something done, it's always "NOW" and you drop what you are doing to get it done. That is how it works around here. And how it works at most places, I assume. Usually, last minute stuff isn't a big deal. But this is a contract in another country - waaaaay beyond what I am capable of doing.

I'm glad that my jobs don't have that sort of responsibilities.  Sorry that you are stuck there.

House & floors are clean.

Grilled chicken, hash browns (fresh-cut by me...), sauteed green beans, Yeungling Black & Tan.

I got off two hours early today-but wednesday had unexpectedly turned into a twelve hour work day-so I definitely deserved it.

I was just about to inquire after you...

when I earlier pondered the fact that I might not have a life(because I can so often be found here) I was told that they had finally found your female equivalent.

All these angry insurance posts... Times like this I'm glad I practice in the military health care system.

In other news, stopped by the pool on my way home and swam 800m for the first time. I took several breaks, but hey--gotta start somewhere. I also managed my first few flip turns... A picture of grace it was not. Embarassed

So what has you so tired?

The heat, and its been a long week.

My knees are bothering me a bit, think it was due to an ill advised running shoe brand change.

I was in Sacramento in the middle of July.  Being a Seattlite, I was very grateful for the cooling trend.  A couple of the days I was there had a high of 82.

If I was there I wouldn't be beat, I would be comatose.

Good for you.  I do not know anyone whose first flip turns were "a picture of grace".

I think it looked more like a football bouncing off the ground--you just have no idea which direction it'll end up going.

Did you loose any skin on a lane line-those things can be terrible.
