I got my peach today by getting in my 10 miler with a friend. The weather was perfect and the run felt great. Less than 3 weeks until my next 1/2 marathon!

Just off the trainer...35 minutes in the dark!
Tonight I am heading to the gym after work for weights.

How was everyone's weekend? Did anyone race this weekend?
And...who's all doing a turkey trot next week?

Got a nice chest workout in today followed by a spin class.  It's always nice to get my workouts in early in the morning, but towards the end of the day my mind and body forget that we worked out in the morning and feel like a lazy bum.  goodness.

I plan on doing a gobble wobble next week.  They are always fun :-)

I've been in such a funk lately.

Friday, I didn't want to do anything, literally.  I had appts to do and errands and all I wanted to do was cancel them and crawl into bed.

Saturday was my long run (run/walk intervals) day and I didn't want to do it but told myself I had to.  Unfortunately my legs did not want to carry me and despite going slower than I've ever gone, after 25 minutes my legs said no more running.  So I walked.

Sunday, I swam but still was feeling so depressed from Saturday's run.  I was scared of trying to run this morning as it was supposed to be my first 'run 2 miles, no walking unless needed'.  So what did I do... I ran 2 miles, slowly, no walking.  My legs were a bit cranky at the end but I did it.

Congratulations!!!!!!!

I swam this morning, during and after my swim lesson.  She videotaped me -- funny how I look so much slower than I feel

Great job! My favorite part about training is reaching the point when something that was once difficult, becomes easy. Keep it up!

Returned to the gym today. 25 min on the bike, 1 mile run on the track, strength training & stretching. Feels good.

Fellow peaches, I am tired. 17 days straight. I'm not having fun anymore. How do you do it? I need a day off. I actually find myself dreading running. I used to enjoy it. 17 days. OMG! I can't hack this. The thought of training every day from now until the end of the month is overwhelming. Surprised

 How do you do it?!

You can do it!  Doesn't walking and stretching count? I think bubble baths should count, too.  Perhaps if you do some stretching will reaching for bubbles you can log it as stretching

I hope you feel better!

You can do yoga or core work or stretching.  But listen to your body and don't overdo

I would agree with others.  If you are feeling burnt out, do something else.  Do yoga, stretching, pilates, weights, hiking, etc.

Sounds like you are getting burnt out...spend 20 mins stretching. That counts...you don't have to do an 'endurance' workout every day. Your body needs to rest. And...we don't want to 'dread' running! Take a few "stretch days'...and you'll feel better (physically and mentally).

I completely agree with my fellow peaches.  You might also consider trying a new class in an area you have always wanted to try- like Pilates, just make sure it is more relaxing than strenuous.

This is always FUN!!!! Remember that we do this not only for ourselves but we do this for the ones close to us. Of course we want to be able to be one of those models that we see on the front of the magazines but also to be around for our friends and love ones for a very long - long time. How do we do this -- we run/bike/swim!!!!!! Keep going -- remember this is FUN!!!!!!

45 minutes on the elliptical!

Whenallelsefails:  I can only reiterate what everyone else has already said...take an active rest day.  Just take a day or two and stretch for 15 minutes or take a walk around the neighborhood.  I can't do a "work out" every day due to hubby not being home to watch our little girl so I put her in the stroller and roam the neighborhood!  Just keep your head up and relax!
