From dominant to dormant...what happened to the Brazilians at half time!...Dutch stepped up and got some good fortune...but ill discipline and temperament...cost the Brazil squad..

Robben should be flogged for diving so many times...makes the All Pansy team as Captain

Any predictions on the afternoon game?

I'd have to go with Uraguay. Based pretty much just on their WC ranking and the fact that they won their group convicingly.

I'm going to have to miss the match for a lunch appt, so I'm going to watch a replay and won't be contributing during the match. Have fun, guys.

besides the continually incessant buzz from the vuvuzela.....a mundane defensive game with a 1-0 win for Uruguay....

Yeah.  I'm taking off early (2pm) and in a meeting from 1:30 to 2 so I won't get to watch either.

I agree, Uraguay.  And the vuvujelas.

Wow, Ghana with a shocker in 1st half extra time...

This has been a good match. A little testy on both ends, could get ugly later.

Agreed - much better than I expected...a GK should NOT be beaten by a shot that far out...weak!..

Loved the reenacted dive from the Ghana defender imitating Suarez!

He was COMPLETELY screened by the two players at the top of the box. He couldn't see it until it was over 5 yard's off the Ghana player's foot. He was in good position, just saw it too late (plus curving away from him).

Nope - Muntari was out 40 yards at least...you have to be able to save it...it bounced for goodness sake...not like it was a Roberto Carlos rocket!...even if it was curling...he has to be mobile enough to stop that....

From the replay, it split the shoulders of the players, and it was a fast shot, bounce or not. I'm a keeper, if you get screened AT ALL, it makes the shot 5 times tougher to stop.

You're a keeper..that explains it!.....:-) - its always something!....I used to coach the GK's at a D1 school...

However, the Ghana GK has no chance on the free kick!....the ball just moves around so much...

Well, I was able to see the first half. Talked my lunch appt to eat in the lounge so we could watch. I agree that the 40-yard goal was a blunder by the keeper. Back watching live now.

Wow, gut-wrenching loss for Ghana. Miss the game-winning PK at the end of extra time, then lose the PK shoot-off. Was tough to watch.
