Good morning Ghoulies!

WFH today. After work I need to get groceries, Christmas shop for the kids, pick up the kiddos after school and basketball practice, toss them in the shower, feed them, then take them to Christmas shop for their dad and their cousin. Fun times.

It does sound fun.  So I take it that the new hot water heater is working fine

Yep! Water is hot, and the water pressure is even a little better.

Happy Sunday, Ghoulies.

I hope you are spending the weekend having fun! It is the best revenge for horror!

We went down to my sister's on Saturday for my niece's third birthday party. We came home after dark so we could see the little town of Chesapeake Beach all lit up for Christmas. It was beautiful.

Yesterday was basketball and more basketball. Keri's team won, their first win of the season, and Keri finally scored! Caleb's team won, too. He hasn't scored yet, but he's pulling down the rebounds.

We had a filled weekend. Friday night dinner in town with friends, Saturday an open house at neighbors followed by THE party of the year Saturday night. Yesterday we drove to a Friends church to hear the Messiah sung. B-U-T ful. Then drove back (about an hour each way) to go right to another neighbors party. It was filled with LOTS of people who do not care for us (due to local politics). It was great fun making them be polite in public. One man literally runs from the room when either Jim or I are present. I can force him to have to have a slight nod and smile in greeting. I made him have to do that 3 times last night. There were really nice people there, too. Their house is fantastic. On the lake, custom everything but not in-your-face over the top. We had a lot of OPF this weekend. The diet needs to get cleaned up these first few days of the week to recover.

I did not have my camera at yesterday's game, and I wished I would have. The look on Keri's face after she scored was absolutely priceless.

Good morning Ghoulies.

I'm at home today getting the carpets cleaned on the first floor and basement.  So overdue.

Tonight going to the Fox Theatre for the Mighty Moe Christmas Carols and the movie "The Grinch".  Should be a lot of fun.

It is pouring rain outside today and yesterday.  As far as I'm concerned, we need 40 days and nights of rain, but I guess all at once would not be a good thing.

Tragic the events on Friday.  Give your loved ones hugs and kisses everyday.  You never know what the day will bring.  Send them off with lots of love to carry them through.

Oh, and while I'm home, I'm making cupcakes, cookies, more cookies in a jar, doing laundry and playing on the computer.

A rainy day is a PERFECT day to be baking! Do you need any quality control checks on the cookies?

Good Morning Ghoulies!  Busy weekend with Christmas shopping and wrapping and goodie making and Christmas musicals.  Our church did a Celtic Christmas musical.  Many of the songs had a Celtic flair to them (but not in Gaelic!)  There were narrators talking about Irish Christmas customs and blessings.  There was a violinist (fiddler? I don't know if there is a difference)  who was wonderful and played in many of the songs.  She was really good!

Unfortunately, between all the activities and really nasty weather, exercise didn't happen.  We had rain, of course, and high winds, and lightning (rare for us).  Our power went out in the night.  That hardly ever happens.  Luckily our alarm clocks have battery back-up.

Busy day at work today, so I will see you all tomorrow.

Okay, the carpets are cleaned and look awesome.  I think I can get a few more years of wear out of them.  They are already 14 years old, so not sure how much longer they will last.

8 jars of cookie in a jar made.  Ran out of ingredients, was aiming for 12.

Cupcakes frosted and packed up for tomorrow.  So are the peanut butter balls.

Sugar cookies are done.  Frank picked up a cookie mold yesterday, so I had to experiment a bit to get them right.  So I have 32 great cookies, 20 good cookies, 1 batch in the trash because I was distracted and did not hear the buzzer, so they were way overcooked.  And then of course all the taste tester cookies.

Now I need to get an early dinner ready before heading to the fox.  Everyone else is meeting at the Varsity which is known for greasy burgers, etc.  Not my kind of place.  So my neighbors and I will eat before we head out.  Or at least Frank and I will.

3 call from staff at work.  It's supposed to be my day of, LOL.  Sounds like my Assistant Branch Manager must have called in sick.  Go figure.

Oh, and 3 loads of laundry done and folded.  Quite a productive day.

Xmas music playing all day long.

It has been a great day.

Morning Ghoulies.

Wazzup?

Not much. Working today. Need to do some housework when I get home. Need to wrap the TV that me, my sister, and a cousin went in on for my aunt, we're taking that over tonight. Meanwhile the TV in our bedroom when ZZZFFFFTTTZPPT last night, now it's a 23" paperweight.

Kind of a tame evening for us.

Tame evenings are good. The TV probably got its feelings hurt, thinking it was being replaced!
