Good morning TAN.

Hello, my precious Troy oz.

look at you! you positively glow with energy.  I seriously need to get off butt. Its been harder this fall for some reason.  Rationalizing my extra cuddle as insulation for the winter is not going to work.

Second Christmas ever sans-family. Not sure how excited I am about it... but I'll see them all 2 weeks later anyway.

I'll have the boyfriend and the dog, though!

I am not. I mean that it's one holiday I can do without. Too much fuss and such. I'd rather celebrate National Cat Day again.

National cat day???

I personally prefer Easter... But I am looking forward to Christmas this year so I can go home and see my wife and kiddos for 14 straight days. It'll be great!!!

I also like National talk like a pirate day...Yar!!!

agreed on christmas.  not so much on cat day.  that's why thanksgiving is the BEST...enormous amounts of food, football, no presents or stress.  and halloween is a close second...silly outfits and candy.  heck yeah!  and 4th of july is 3rd best...grilling and fireworks!

Too hot on 4th of July. I guess not if you're in the north like PA.

Give me Easter springtime, just about anywhere.

Jesus was more than likely born in the spring. Won't go into that now, but you can google it. Christmas is a symbolic holiday for Jesus' birthday because its the darkest day of the year.

I had absolutely NO desire to celebrate xmas for a couple of years for my own reasons and completely removed myself from the holiday.  No family, no presents, no dinner... nada.  And it was glorious!

Now that there are kids involved, I don't really get that luxury except for this year as I'm not allowed to leave the country.

I DO want to get a small tree and a wreath and some festive stuff, but there won't be any presents.  There will, however, be a LOT of food.  Mmmmmmm..... Fooooooooood.

Yessirree it is!

Is it true you guys had some meal up there at the Citadel called the Red Death?

Summer is wicked freaking hot. It's right on the eve of rainy season--temps are in the high 30s (that's high 90s, low-to-mid 100s) with the air like 10months pregnant with humidity. We're dying over here. I spend as much of the day as I can on my bed, wet and naked, with a fan blowing on me.

Yes. It is midnight here, which means pork fried rice time.

I mean, why not? It doesn't count in today's totals anymore, right, 'cause it's already tomorrow ... today.
