Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Peachy in May! skrtrnr - 2011-05-31 6:00 AM MORNING GHOULIES. can even begin to describe the weekend. though restful and pleasant, we had a MAJOR scare yesturday. our doggie got very, very sick very suddenly for no apparent reason. i took her to the vet hospital and they diagnosed her with Addisons disease. treatable but the 'crisis' she had yesturday could've been fatal had i not acted quickly. geesh. not the way i expected to spend Memorial Day, but im just glad things didnt end badly. the boys would have been devastated.
we did manage to get in a picnic a my brothers and lots of swimming at the Water Park. its hot and sticky already this morning. the boys are gonna be off to school and then im off to a school visit myself. i have bag pack to get in a swim this afternoon. then its another client this evening. our dear doggie should be home tonight.
HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE! stacieb Really? That's is nuts, sorry you had such a crazy day yesterday! Does your dog need to be on lifelong prednisone and florinef now? That's what they give people who suffer an Addisonian crisis, I wonder if it is the same for dogs? |

Just too much fun being had. It was hot hot hot hot hot. Melidy, your place sounds great. Nice that you get to go to Iowa earlier Stacie- so sorry about the pooch but glad you got him to the vet in time. AND you still got the picnic in. Anne, the water fight sounds great. The DH used to own a toy store. His kids were always armed and dangerous. Supersoakers are awesome. We have had huge water fights Memorial day weekend with all the kids here. I would get on the porch and soak them when they ran by! Sigh, now they are all too old for that kind of fun and a lot of the adults went all arthritic on me so they are no fun to chase! |

Sounds like you guys had a BLAST this weekend! WOOT!!! My son and I have it planned out. We are going to fill the kids squirt guns, then dry them off and put them in a paper bag, then in a large gym bag we have. We will have to put ours in the bottom. We are going to line the kids up after the game, and put a paper bag on the ground in front of them. When I say go, they rip open the bag, they can figure out what to do from there, by that time we should have them pretty wet. It's going to be upper 90's here today so we thought it would be a good day to get wet. |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Peachy in May! Morning. Chilling watching the news. No lab today. Going into Vancouver later to meet up with my friend and go for a swim at the really long outdoor pool. Been feeling a bit tired and going to rest up a bit for the race this weekend! Yay! Packing up my stuff to take to Ames...the last time I went Neal made fun of the ridiculous amount of stuff I brought because I didn't have time to strategically pack and just ended up throwing stuff into a bag. Haha. Now I have consolidated and planned. |

Well I made it to Van...not much going on in the lab. I changed my flight to see Neal to Wed cause the other girl won't be here anyways so all I really have to do is read stuff and I can do that in Ames just as well as I can do it here. Reading about angiotensin II and renal blood flow dynamics...wooooooo. Haha. My place for the summer is pretty awesome. We are in the basement of a house in one of the suburbs of Vancouver called Coquitlam. Only about 15min from the lab and about 15min from the pool. Haha. Pretty nice. We have nice dark hardwood floors and a backyard pool! That sounds like a great set up Melissa. Or should I say 1/2MD. Edited by kns57 2011-05-31 1:08 PM |

1) I'm a little jealous, I would like to sleep that late. 2) Wake him up. If he sleeps all day he WILL NOT sleep tonight. 3) HI AMY!!! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Peachy in May! Anne - the water fight sounds like it will be fun. I hope that you have got someone lined up with a camera to catch it on film. Melissa - SUNSCREEN!!! Say Hi to Neal and have fun at the race this weekend. Used to be called PIZZA and I guess in Iowa it's called a race. Amy - you better wake up that night owl, or he will really become a night owl. My son has the worst sleeping pattern, he can't seem to sleep at night, but has no problem with the day sleeping. Robin - sorry your crowd is too "old" for water fights. I say you should have them anyway. Kim - I hope you enjoyed San Francisco. I loved it when I lived out there.
As to me, my rear is sore. After 21 hours in the saddle this weekend, I have no desire to sit on a motorcycle or bicycle any time soon. The trip to Kentucky was awesome, the scenery was spectacular. I would do it again. |

I'll be doing my swimming in a lake, so I'm not sure how much I will get in. The college only has summer pool hours from 10am to 1pm. We can still give it a shot though. I do need to get in the water. |
