I think there's something wrong with our swim percentage calculation, although our overall calculation seems to in about the right range. We have way more than 18% completed on the swimmy swim. |

I thought I'd be better as my two days prior to race last week my stomach felt better, but ever since race day, my ITB has been extensively painful (worst than ever) I am afraid to do ANYHTING. The other day getting out the car I simply reached over with my upper body and could feel it in my hip/glute. I tried to get out of bed early twice this week and both mornings I ended up just waking up and stretching, as that I can even feel it when simply lying in bed. I think it may be best that I re-focus my training right now to some basic strength&conditioning to get my leg muscles balanced and ready to geaux again. I'm not planning on racing again until Aug 23rd, so I have plenty of time and want to make sure I'm ready and healthy. THanks for all of your support as I was sick earlier this month, and your support with my race, I truly appreciate it. I will hang around and cheer you guys on!!! Now, listen to Dee and MOVE-IT!!!! Sorry to hear that. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself physically and mentally. *Hugs* |

That is a bummer - I hope you will still be a cheesecake cheerleader/cattle proder for the team!!! Take your time and realize overall health is the most important aspect of it all in the end. BTW Tinker Beth has been slow lately - you should zap her with the cattle prod to get her moving Tinker Beth - I know you are swamped just want to see how you react Thanks for the understanding Bill... I've been so busy with work and family too I have no idea what's up with everybody... I'll head over to Beth's (blog) right now and see what's up... moving cross country is NO excuse Sorry it's been such a rough month for you!!! Sounds like you're doing the right thing -- resting and stretching. Take good care of yourself dammit! |

Elite 3471 Evergreen, CO | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers lastcall2003 - 2008-06-20 5:58 AM Morning CCL! I won't be around much the next few days - traveling today and then headed to Des Moines tomorrow for the Tri! (not the Du that was a tri, but the tri that is now a different tri - LOL) anyway have a great weekend! Thanks! And you have a great race!! I swam this morning, but couldn't get out of bed early enough to run first, which is probably a good thing. Rode my bike to swim and work and even tho they're very short rides, I already have half an hour of hills in that I wouldn't have gotten if I'd driven. After work I get to ride to softball, dinner and home. This is kinda fun |

Formulas disappear, etc. (The "data function," where it tells you the percentage of the month that's passed, is particularly prone to this.) Generally, I check stuff like this on Sunday when I do the updates. |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers Don't forget to update your BT logs and the team spreadsheets by midnight tonight. And remember - You now have a little EXTRA INCENTIVE..... You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals! For example: Your swim goal may now reach 110% Your run goal may now reach 110% Your bike goal may now reach 110% Your "other" goal may now reach 110% What does this mean? - If you want to give yourself an extra push and challenge yourself this month --> GO FOR IT! - If you have a teammate who is lagging --> Here's your chance to HELP YOUR TEAM! Each individual goal will be capped at 110%. (In other words, you can't do 125% of a goal.) This means that you could, conceivably, reach a "super achiever" 110% total. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and do some training! - Dee |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Cheesecake Lovers June Challenge Team Standings - Week #3June is now 73% completed, and we're almost at the END OF THE CHALLENGE! Here's how the teams stand, with just over a week to go:FIRST PLACE - Kamikaze Geckos - 65.9% SECOND PLACE - Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) - 61.3% THIRD PLACE - Avatar Avengers - 58.6% FOURTH PLACE - Cheesecake Lovers - 56.5% Congratulations to the KAMIKAZE GECKOS! BUT June isn't over yet! We still have 8 more days to go! So remember - if you don't MOVE IT this month, your team is likely to LOSE IT! And remember - You may now achieve 110% of your individual goals! This means you can challenge yourself even more, or help out teammates who may be struggling to meet their goals. For example: Your swim goal may now reach 110% Your run goal may now reach 110% Your bike goal may now reach 110% Your "other" goal may now reach 110% Each individual goal will be capped at 110%. (In other words, you can't do 125% of a goal.) This means that you could, conceivably, reach a "super achiever" 110% total. Need a reminder of what happens at the end of June? The winning team(s) will display a signature line: "My team won the June Challenge!" All other (losing) teams will display an avatar of something that SHOULD have made them move more! This could be your shoes (ie: you should have run more), or your bike (ie: you should have biked more), or your bathing suit (ie: you should have swam more), or.... etc. Avatars and signature lines will be displayed for the month of July. After that, it's your choice whether to leave it, or remove it. - Dee |

I know that I'm one of the ones who slacked off earlier this month. I've been running the numbers and I should be able to come it at 100% (or maybe just over) if I really focus these next few days. Who else is on board with me? LET'S DO IT!!!!! |
