QueenZipp - 2008-10-17 4:48 PM here are you that has all the snow?

Beautiful Colorado....  our first two resorts opened on Wednesday, Loveland and Arapahoe Basin.  Ski season here can go from October to June, though obviously conditions aren't the best really early or really late in the season.

QueenZipp - 2008-10-17 3:50 PM werk is boring today

Unfortunately it is most days. I'd rather just train like a pro and take naps. And bake. That would be nice.

I *heart* naps.

I shall lay my head right here on my cubicle desk.  Yeah, that's a good spot.  Shhhhhh. Philthy is going nappy.

Philthy! I see you like the nickname I gave you!

Good evening everybody,

Just finished up my portion of the challenge.... Don't want to brag or anything, just glad that I got it done before leaving on Sunday. Just told boyfriend too that I completed my 25 miles. He was surprised more than anything... When we talked about the challenge, he said I should put down a goal of 20 miles. HAH! I guess telling me that I can't do something works good for me too.

I had to make a quick stop at the local to avoid losing all of my friends. They already think I'm nuts so I have to be careful. So after two small (ok, maybe not so small) beers, I'm headed out for 4-5 depending on how I feel. I realize that makes me a horrible triathlete, but I'm not much of one anyway these days so I can't do much more damage. Hopefully I'll be reporting back in an hour or so about what a good run I had! I'm not expecting it to be my fastest, but it will be nice. We have perfect crisp fall weather in NYC. I might wear my first long sleeves of the season.

LazyMarathoner - 2008-10-17 3:42 PM My big deadline, the one that kept me at work over 12 hours and ruined my run this morning, is in 15 minutes. Yet here I am checking on the team thread and looking up music on YouTube. I have problems!

So how did it go? Deadline etc... What music did you look up.... You know, the important stuff in life.

Met the deadline, boss was thrilled and walked out the door at 6pm, record early for me! I was checking out a band called Muse, I saw a video last night at the gym and was intrigued. There were a couple songs I really liked. I love YouTube. I listen to music all day on there.

I know Muse. I saw those guys years ago at a festival. Never heard anything of them before, but downloaded everything they had right after I got back home. That reminds me that I haven't had their stuff on my iPod in a while.

Good gracious a second tread and already 600+ posts.  So what is the prize for chattiest group which you all will for sure be receiving?  Also, how many times do you think you will lap us (zombies) posting wise before this challenge is over.?.  I'm thinking definantly twice but could you do it three time?

Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy all the football games on tv!! (read watch football don't run watch football don't run watch football don't run)Smile

I do try to keep my priorities straight. I thought it would be appropriate to wear my favorite running shirt this evening as well:

Just finished 5.11 miles and despite the two beers beforehand, it felt great. There is something really clarifying about running at night. I'm planning just 2-3 miles tomorrow, maybe on the elliptical, then holding my breath and praying the 20 miler goes ok on Sunday.

So I found a loophole in the system today before I started leave (vactation time) that allowed me to take the same amount of time off without it going against my leave time.

As long as I am competing in "competitive sports", I wont get charged for the time off.  I actually learned of this through another BTer that is an AirForce Officer.
