Believe me, my house is FAR from organized. Would I like to be organized? Yes. Am I organized? Nope.

Dee, how are your pups doing?

Dogs are doing fine.  But the rain & wind has been pretty fierce the last few days, so not enough exercise!  Still, they are being good babies!

Hanna, the german shepherd, is now 14 months old.  I have been looking at some type of pulling to help exercise her and to give her a job (since we don't have any animals for her to herd!)  She could pull a cart or even a sulky (that looks like a blast!).  Or she could pull me on  a scooter or skates.  I am thinking the scooter to start. 

So we will start training on those commands.  On the sites that I have been looking at, they use gee and haw but use pull instead of mush.  I think I will just use left & right since I always have trouble remembering whether to use gee or haw.

I had to look up SULKY. That does look fun! It is good that you are trying to find her a job. Sounds like you are looking for something that you and her can do together, too.

Yes I want something we can do together.  I am too slow of a runner to get her out of a fast walk. LOL

This gal and her dogs are amazing.  She is in her 70s and still going strong!

The sulky and the trail cart both look pretty cool. Let me know how long it takes to train your dog to pull.

We already sometimes have her drag a 10-12 foot lead along so she is fairly used to something bumping along beside her.  Next I will get a pulling harness for her and attach something to the lead like a cut bike tire.

robin so stan and ollie are now added to the mix...sounds like a party to me!!!

dee your dog sounds like mine ~ she just pulls me around. I was told by my vet to get a choker leash and she still pulls me! she is part lab part border collie....and I am sore from the tug haha

today our little fellow has been trying to air sweep the lab ~ (she's fixed but must be having a false period!?!) I was in the room getting ready to shower after my spin class and I hear a large bark and yipe at the same time~ my daughter then comes into my room and has my boston terrier in her arms ~ his right eye had blood in around it! WTH???? I began to get dressed thinking I just spent over $500 a few weeks ago at the vet and now I have to go back!??? but thankfully I held him with some gauze to it and he is now mo betta! thank my lucky stars wallet!!!

Nice to hear from you Melissa ~ have a great new year! what ironman did you race? I guess I was vacant then! and let me congratulate you! Once an ironman ~ ALWAYS an Ironman! very proud for you!!!

Ann, I am totally there for your 40th. Although I do wish it were next month. I'll just have to sit through another weird winter in Salt Lake without a trip tp somewhere warm and beachy.

Today it was 45 degrees out. My son and I went to the zoo for their free entry day. It was sooo nice! Just cool enough to be cold, but not so cold that it was miserable! 

NO NO, not next month, 2013. I have a little over a year left of my 30's.

You are always welcome to come to PA and visit. You can say you are going to tour the historic Gettysburg Battlefield or something. It was 24 this morning when I left the house, so it probably isn't warmer here.

A bar would be good.
