Big Appa - 2012-07-20 9:58 AM I finished up Uncharted 2 yesterday and picked up Uncharted 3. I should have that one done with in a week also so I can keep doing the week to return thing at game stop.

Dude, you must have devoted some serious time to it...  Granted if you do normal or easy, it IS pretty quick.  I can get through the whole story in a couple hours now that I know the secrets (on normal).  Difficult still requires several attemps (if not dozens) to get by some of the more difficult bosses.

What gaming system do you have, Kido?

I don't name my penis...

Oh, a PS3

I've a Wii ... and I am talking about my penis.

hehe...  I'm still chuckling that my penis is my gaming system...

I'm such a simpleton.

Ok, something that's been sort of hard to figure out.  And I KNOW it's stupid to even worry about it, but I do.

My cousin is physically dissabled which has kept him from a lot of social situations because he pretty much has to stay at home and be taken care of by his parents.  He is probably 35 now...

Anyway, he LOVES words with friends and wants to play me all the time.  Which is fine BUT, I'm not sure if it's his social skill of not being competitive or if he doesn't understand games, but he is terrible.  He knows words, but has NO strategy.  Gives me triple word scores left and right, could play the same word in different areas and score 40, instead of 4, etc.

I don't even try, and get a 100 point lead after about 4 moves and end up winning by 300-400.  I even challenged myself to ONLY play 2-3 letter words and STILL kill him.  Or play only off the word he just played, it's no fun winning every single time, but he keeps requesting me.

What made me feel worse is he sent me a text saying I LOVE THIS AWESOME GAME!!!!!

So, I just play and win.  I give about 2 seconds thought a move.  Just play a word.  I don't try to get a ton of points and I don't try to throw it either...

Thoughts?

I'm thinking about asking if he even knows what DW TW DL TL squares even mean cuz he seems like he doesn't.

Sounds to me like his "game" in all of this is interaction.  It might be that he enjoys you not taking it easy on him.  If he is truly enjoying it, keep doing what you're doing.

My first thought is its not stupid to worry about doing the right thing.  My second is if he enjoys playing then play - if you are really concerned can you check in with the parents?

Yeah, I am doing what all of you say.  I just play because I know it's important to him.  If he doesn't want to play anymore, he will stop requesting.

I just can't help feeling a bit weird about completely destroying him every time - and it takes even MORE effort to try and throw it without LOOKING like I'm throwing it.

And obviously he doesn't care about the score because he plays to the last letter, which is also a bit aggrivating.  I will be up 300 points with 6 letters remaining and playing 4 point words because the board is full.  That will take an extra day or two instead of starting a fresh game.

I'm beginning to think that he just likes placing and thinking of words and doesn't care about points or score AT ALL.  Which is completely foreign to me!  haha!  I don't think it's a game to him, but just thinking of words.

Just play with him and enjoy the fact that you are interacting.  I have a niece that is almost 30 but functions at the level of about a 12 year old.  We play online games and she is awful.  She just likes to send me messages and play.  I also play my personal trainer in Scramble .. and he is AWFUL .. he gets a total score of 130 to my 1500 time after time .. but every time the game ends he starts a new one!  Sometimes its just nice to play with someone!

First off, playing with your cousin is a genuinely decent thing to do.  I am sure your cousin is delighted to play any game with anyone and has been rejected more often than accepted.  Probably, he looks up to you in particular anyway.  To him, it is like Brad Wiggins being willing to go on a bike ride with me.  I wouldn't expect to keep up.  Good for you.  You are living up to your good guy reputation.

My peeve with WWF .. people start games with me then they don't play.   So I have given up on that game.  Now I just play Scramble because that one seems to hold my friend's attention better and it's faster paced.  So that is why I don't play youse anymore!

OMG, yes!  Someone gets in the mood and plays 2-3 words in the first hour, then nothing for 10 days.  And I can't freaking resign to get it off my phone because it's not my turn...

You should look me up.  I forget what you need to find me though.

Or I will play scramble or whatevs, if there is a droid app for it.

entire cucumber = MAYBE 30 calories

small handful of almonds = 200 calories (or more depending if you have big hands)
