I think I was just called "old" on Match?

"I am personally looking for someone younger than me for dating, however, I love to run and work out...so, if you are looking for a running buddy or even for a "guy" friend, then I totally want to be that haha! You also happen to be really pretty and that would definately be a perk to have a CUTE running partner. Not going to lie."

Made me chuckle.

Why did he put guy in quotes.....like would you be confused? Is he really NOT a guy? Is it French and pronounced Gi?

And....what dude uses emoticons in an introductory letter?

How old is he?

Maybe we all sound like that.  But most of the flirty stuff out of guy's mouths makes my skin crall.  It's SO bad at the bars/clubs.

NOOO .. actually I am proud to say that I have NEVER heard that song or any parody of it.  I refuse to click on links.  I wouldn't even know it if I heard it!  Crazy .. no?

How have you NOT heard it? Yes....very crazy.

I walked into my 6 year olds play room the other day and her and a friend were making a restaurant. She said "Daddy....you just missed your jam". I said "which one". She goes "Call me maybe....you know all the words, it's your jam".

At least he was honest.    I've noticed most of the men my age and even a wee bit older end their dating age range at 25-45 ... which makes me sad.   I am too old for them.

Yes I do like the honesty. But he initiated the conversation not me? Not like he was replying to something I sent... strange.

Yeah I LOVE the guys who are 30 or 32, but cap their age range at 28.

29. Juuuuuust a bit outside, on the young side, of my preferences. But I'm not going to send him an email saying that

Dang...

I was trying to come up with mini poll questions and that's a good one..

What would you put as your 'age range' on match...

Me?  Probably 25-50, just to keep the options wide but also knowing the 25yr old is not going after my old arse.  Probably not chase much under 30.

If I was a girl, no way I would go for a guy under 30.  We are STUPID under that age.  Over it, we are still stupid, but know how to hide it just a bit better.

Finally convinced the wife and I'm going to Sweet Tomatoes tonight!  I'm going to load up on salad.  It will take some restraint to stay away from all the other good stuff they have.

She's not a total fan of that place, but I like it.  However, I'm betting she will talk me out of it when I get home.  But WE ARE going out, so that should be fun...  I requested any place that serves a mega salad with lots of good stuff on it.

Hahhaa!
Yeah I have 25-40 as my age range, but very rarely interact with guys under 28. Such different maturity levels and priorities. But I want to keep an open mind.

For sure, there is always that exception to the rule.  No reason to rule them out based on age alone.

So I guess I'm too old for YOU!  haha.

I think 30 may be optimistic!

I still don't have kids so I don't know how to be responsible yet...  Not sure if I want them, I might have to share my video games and deserts with them.  Blech.

I met my wife when I was 33 and she was 21.  I was afraid of the ditsy barely out of her teens personality..  BUT, she moved out of her house at 16 to be with a ballet company, and moved to Colorado at 18 to live on her own to be with Colorado Ballet.  She had more indipendance and responsibility racked up by that point than most 30 yr olds...

why would someone email you on a dating site just to say he doesn't want to date you?  odd.

My brain is SERIOUSLY going to explode...

I throw my hands up at BT sometimes.

ANYWAY, to make it worse, I have one of THOSE guys on my project.  That little know it all jerky boy that is too demanding and without any social skills, and will knitpick your work without even understanding it and do an Email blast to anyone and everyone that will listen, even up to the president of the company...  He is looking at his little part of the project and has NO CLUE there are other factors...  SO aggrivating.

For example, I had to break up an email into seperate emails to get it through is limited mailbox size.  I TOLD HIM I was going to be doing that.

He get's the first one (only a portion) and his only response  "this is worthless"...

Eff you budy.  look at what I wrote and wait for the rest of it and assemble it.

His next email "ok, this will work"...

Sorry to rant.  I just HATE people with zero people skills and can't play well with others.

yeesh.  i'd punch him.  this is worthless?  WOW.  my old boss used to do stuff like that - not read my entire email then ask me a question like i was stupid for not addressing it, and it was already answered in the email.
